This is NOT an air conditioner. It is a bulky fan with a neck cooling plate. Product does not live up to expectation. Sadly!

I ordered the Torras for a trip and I received it on time. However I only did a very quick product check before leaving. I heard a rattling but I thought maybe it was how I had it positioned. The charger cord also would not fit in the device properly, but I was willing to overlook it since it was a "C" and I had plenty of cords. The trip was in one day and I wanted to take it with me. Upon my first try using it on the trip, the rattling was non-stop and totally unusable.It sound as if the fans were loose and rattling around. I immediately submitted a return and a replacement was delivered before I returned for my trip. Making the return seamless and simple. Upon opening the new item, I realized it had some packing sticker like cellophane that I did not see on the first one, making me think that maybe I received a return item that was not checked. I don't know that for sure, it is an assumption. I have not used the new item while out yet, however so far I will say that upon testing it, it feels amazing, has a hum but nothing overwhelming. I look forward to taking it on it's first run and seeing how well it works during normal use.

I get hot, in a sweaty, uncomfortable, "are you ok?" kind of way. I saw a lady who was, likely, in her third trimester of pregnancy in a store wearing a neck fan. Typical hot summer, and she was likely overly hot with the pregnancy. Been there. Not fun. But her neck fan was an awesome idea, and, where do you go to find something that's not likely in a store nearby? Well, Amazon!My search showed that there were a lot of neck fans to choose from, so I needed to find features that I liked. I thought a fan was nice, but then this unit was also an "air conditioner" with a cooling plate on the back. That seemed intriguing, and possibly worth the higher price. I could return the item, so I decided to purchase with little to lose. I read reviews and found that most were positive; the negative reviews seemed to be more user issues or misunderstandings of product features.I received the item and found it came with a soft slipcover case and charging cord. I charged it up and read the directions. After charging I turned on the unit. The unit starts up with a low fan, with each time pressing the button the fan increases: first low, then medium, then high, then off. Each fan setting was nice, though I felt that low was very comfortable. Then I turned on the "air conditioner" or cooling plate on the neck nape section. To turn on the cooling plate, I turn on the unit then hold down the button to turn on the cooling plate. I found that reaching the button while the unit was on wasn't comfortable for me. The button is in a suitable place, and I use the L-R directions to put the unit on my left and right sides, but I find it's easier for me to remove the unit to turn it off and on. It'd be awesome if the unit could be controlled with a smartphone/bluetooth.Turning on the cooling plate and setting it on my neck, I can instantly feel the cold plate, and it feels soooooooo nice! I don't know how I can measure to cool down by 18°F in 3 second, but I believe it. I really get hot and flushed sometimes, and I turn this on and turn on the cool plate. It's cooling me down *as soon as* I put it on. It does work and it works *fast*! I like that the fan is bladeless, so my longer hair does not get tangled up on this unit.There are three things I'm not liking about this unit: 1) I would like the cooling plate on without the fan; 2) I would like to have the battery last longer; and 3) I would like to have the fan be a little lower/adjustable as to air direction. As for 1), the product questions, the manufacturer addresses this issue, saying the two work together. As for 2), I really haven't had the battery die on me. I didn't address battery life, but, with the cooling plate, I understand it only lasts about TWO HOURS. I don't use it that long, so battery life just isn't an issue for me! As for 3), I'm still on the fence as to whether this is an issue for me or not. If I'm hot, the air is helpful to provide some air movement around my face/head to cool me off. I suppose it'd be nice to be able to adjust where the air flows on the unit somewhat, but, ultimately, this is something that I'm okay with because I'm highly satisfied with the unit.So, all in all, there's some negative reviews on this product, and the price point is higher for it, which is another detraction. But, my experience with this unit is that it works fantastic and does what it says. I am not sure if I (yet) get hot flashes, but this unit cools me down when I get overheated. I don't use it at the gym/workout, as I'm not sure how it could handle my sweaty workouts, but I've been tempted to try it! I also don't use it all the time, so I have not challenged the battery life, but, really, my use of this product won't be to test its limits. As for rating it for travel: I haven't traveled with it, yet, but I intend to use it the next time I travel.All in all, this product does what it says it does. I love it so much, I am tempted to buy the Coolify 2 since it has two cooling plates and can provide heat, too. This product is worth it!

Bought this unit on Amazon, wanted to prepare the Florida Summer Heat. My job has me going into auto shops that often have little to no air circulation in 90 degree temps. This air pushed around by the unit in the heat is still warm but it's better than not having any air circulation, the cooling pad though was what made it worth it. It definitely made keeping my body temp low easier, however the unit did stop working after about 2 weeks of use. But their customer service team did take care of the issue and I've got another unit on the way. The device looks sharp too, especially in black, I had a lot of people ask me where I got it and how much it was. The general first impression they get is that it looks like headphone speakers. Definitely worth the purchase if you work in extreme heat.

The humidity in Florida sucks and everyone knows it, especially in summer. But this thing works so well that I even bought a second one in white for when I'm not wearing dark colored clothes so I can look more fashionably conscious.CONS:- The fans are pretty loud if you're in a quiet indoor setting like your home but pretty quiet when you're in a loud environment like outside, in a social area, or near traffic.- The case it comes with isn't shock proof or waterproof, it's just a fabric sleeve that you put over it to protect it from dust. So keep that in mind.- If you use fan speed one most of the time it can get annoying when you need to turn it off occasionally. The device beeps every time you change a speed and/or enter AC mode. The beeps are nice feedback to let you know the device has successfully entered a new mode, but I wish there was a quicker and more convenient way to turn it off. Right now, the only way to turn it off is to go up to fan speed 3 and then press the power button again to turn it off.PROS:- The AC mode really works!- While the back plate won't stay cool in the heat in fan mode, it will cool down quickly and stay cool once you turn on the AC mode. The device is on fan mode by default every time you turn it on.- The fan speeds are great and I find myself using 1-2 most of the time. I only really use speed 3 if it's particularly hot or I haven't used it while outside for a while.- Air circulation and breeze combats the humidity that makes it feel waaaaay hotter outside than it really is. The AC mode combats the actual heat. It's a win-win.- It's very easy to use and the battery life on this thing is outstanding. You won't need to charge it after using it all day long. Not sure how long the battery actually lasts though, but it's already going on day 3 with no charge.- It's bladeless so your hair and accessories won't get caught up in it. Plus, if you have kids, they won't hurt themselves on it.- It blows downward as well as upward and is adjustable so it's not blowing directly into your eyes (or into your face if you don't like that sort of thing).- It's lightweight and a convenient size to put in a bag or backpack when not in use, and also comes with a fabric sleeve to put it in to protect it from dust (but not much else sadly).
