Great as task lights or emergency lights
Since purchasing these, we have experienced several power outages of longer than 8 hours. These lights have allowed us to safely and comfortably go about our day-to-day activities through these outages, without the need for a generator. On the lowest setting, these lights stayed on throughout an 11-hour power outage. On the highest setting, they will begin to dim automatically, to reduce power output, after a little under 2 hours. Initially, we purchased these lights to use as pendant-style task lights over work areas, where there were no outlets nearby. I made beaded wires, hung them from small ceiling hooks, and hang these lights from these where we needed light. One light, on the lowest setting, provides enough light to get around a room safely, without disturbing people who are sleeping. The medium brightness is enough to read or to do most other tasks, and high is bright enough for detail-oriented work, like drawing. The only down side is that not all of the remote controls worked. If you have more than one of these lights in one room, they may simultaneously operate from one remote, which may be an advantage or disadvantage, depending on your situation, but this may not be consistent. The angle of the remote control in relation to each light will determine whether or not the remote will function for a particular light. Holding the remote at a slightly different angle, or moving it as little as an inch in a different direction may affect which light(s), if any, will be affected. This can be frustrating at times, especially if you are trying to turn on one particular light on low in the middle of the light, and three decide to turn on at full brightness. It was a learning curve to get them working the way we wanted when more than one is in a room. After charging, sometimes the remote control will not work until you manually turn the light on and off using the button. There was something in the information that came with these lights about pressing the mode button on the light when you don’t plan to use the light for a while, putting it into sleep mode, then pressing it again when you want to use the light. My best guess would be that if the light is completely drained before you charge it, the light goes into this sleep mode automatically, since we’ve only had the remote not function on a light when it has been recharged after being completely drained. If you charge it before it fully drains the battery, this doesn’t seem to happen. Not a big deal, unless you can’t easily reach the button on the light (make sure you put them where you can access them without a ladder and advanced yoga poses).

Really bright
We bought these for power outages. They work great and give off a lot of light. They last for a long time but haven’t timed them. Just remember to charge them here and there or they will be dead when you need them! This just happened to us, but it had been months since last charge. This was our fault, nothing will hold a charge forever.

, 4 Pack Portable Hanging LED Tent Light Bulb for Camping, Home, Indoor, Emergency
I ordered to use for lamps in lieu of plugs. Unfortunately it is slightly too big to fit in with my lamps. Great idea otherwise.

Great, handy product
I've never before been compelled to write a product review. However, I live in the Santa Cruz Mountains of California (near-ish Silicon Valley) - those of you that live here or nearby already know the situation.PG&E has set a new high bar for gross incompetence that may never be matched in our lifetime; our power has gone out 9 times since the first week of August 2021. That's about every 3 - 4 days for 12 - 24 hours a shot. We've already spent hundreds of dollars (if not thousands) on power outage related items (generators, fuel, new heavy duty extension cords, new UPSs).(And please let's not have a retread of the false dichotomy: "well, you can either have safe power, *or* you can have reliable power" - utter claptrap)One thing we did not have in abundance, though, was nifty, rechargeable, really cute, easily deployed lights. The Flyhoom USB Rechargeable Light Bulbs are awesome in all of those respects. And they glow a long time on a single charge. I had one in our bathroom that was on for at least 8 hours, and was still on when I staggered into the bathroom to retrieve it after being up all night doing "power is out" stuff.THey're also pretty easy to hang in reasonable places - I actually put most of them on existing lamps that were being deprived of their right to provide light. The remote control is also pretty cool. If you have an aversion to touching light bulbs, no problem: the remote does it all - on, off, brighter, dimmer. It also has a handful of preset timers (15 and 30 minutes, 1 and 4 hours). All in all, the Flyhoom USB Rechargeable Light Bulbs were a great addition to our growing stockpile of things we apparently need now.
