Deko-Boko Bittersweet Days ෆ╹ .̮ ╹ෆ
I saw this book on pre-order over a month ago, I screamed internally and had to pre-order it as I adored the first volume of it. I love this authors work a lot !!The art is beautiful and Yuujirou & Rui are adorable. Probably one of my top favourite yaoi's! I'm sad now that I've finished reading it. TTBut anyhow, I definitely recommend Deko-boko !!!

Cute follow-up!
I'm on TokyoPop's reviewer list, so I got this a few weeks early and it's SO cute and a worthy follow-up to Dekoboko Sugar Days. I'm a fan of Atsuko's works, and this one feels as though she's really got the hang of character development and showing progression/time flowing onward. It's a thick book, with a well paced story and a great sense of growth both in Yuujirou and Rui's relationship and their personal lives. It starts off with Chapter 0, a really cute recap of what happened in the first volume, and then drops us in the midst of Yuujirou and Rui's relationship as it continues to blossom. There's a bit more sexy time in this one than the first, which I think makes a lot more sense and it's handled MUCH better in this volume than the first. The first one has that cliched thing that most LOVExLOVE titles do, it's all cute fluff worth of a younger audience with an out of nowhere sex scene at the end, so Bittersweet Days having those moments intermittently throughout works well because it showcases not only growth with their relationship, but feels more natural than an out of the blue scene at the conclusion. Each chapter focuses on different seasons of their final year of high school, as they go about deciding their futures (colleges, careers, etc.). A tension builds due to these choices throughout the changing seasons, hence the "Bittersweet" in the title, and the way Atsuko captures the honest struggles that high school romances have to deal with is raw and realistic. The question of whether or not sweet days will return to them is prominent, and Yuujirou and Rui's future draws readers in with quickly. If you enjoyed Dekoboko Sugar Days, this is a MUST for your collection.

Sleepless in Ota City
Does Yusen draw the sexiest boys in all of BL manga, or am I just getting carried away? We do get to see a lot of Rui and Yuujirou in the altogether (and in enough explicit sex scenes to keep things arousingly interesting), but that can't disguise a lyrical, time-hopping love story that follows Ruijirou from childhood to young working adulthood, demonstrating that despite the obstacles and awkwardness, they've always been effectively promised to one another in marriage. The Hanamine and Matsukaze families make an appealingly eccentric supporting cast to the story of how their sons slowly build themselves a life together. It's as sweet, sexy, and satisfying as romance comics get.

So sweet!
A sweet story with a smarter feel then your average yaoi. The boys are life long friends and you really feel their affection and confusion as they stumble into a relationship.

Like the title says bittersweet
The media could not be loaded. Yuujiro and Rui have to deal with their insecurities while still loving each other even when it’s hard. They are now third years inching closer and closer to the end of their high school career but they haven’t mentioned what they want to each other. Of course feelings get hurt, tear are cried.A very cute continuation to their love story.
