Variety in tone and sound
Great packaging. Very well presented. Sounds awesome with my Ibanez and Boss Katana MKII. Great price, Boss always delivers quality products. Knobs turn with ease and stay where you want them. Not a lot of unneeded noise in the background. Pretty quiet.A must have for the heavy metal musician.

Great pedal!
I got this for my father after finding out that his favorite pedal he ever owned was one of the originals of this pedal. when I gave this to him he used it, and he felt that it was just like how he remembered his old pedal to be, and was extremely pleased with how it sounded. While I can’t personally say how it sounds compared to the original what I can say is it sounds pretty dang good!

not just for metal
I don't know hardly anything about metal music but this pedal is so much fun. I pair it with a noise gate and then into modulation pedals and there's so many fun things I can do that way. it's far more versatile than many of the reviews I've read lead me to believe. I originally got it as a lark and to see what all the waza was about and I'll be back for more waza pedals now

Not enough distortion!
Im old school, theres a tone along with this raspy chug that kills, unfortunately, i heard this heavy metal pedal on you tube and it sounded awsome! But on my Mk2 katana 212 w head doesnt get close might be a defect! Metal zone waza it is!

Here's a heartwarming story...
I bought one of these when I was just out of high school. Basically the first year they were making ’em. I knew nothing, I just bought whatever they had. I couldn't even play; I was just making noises. But I loved that ’87–’88 pedal with all my heart. I could make noises like a swarm of metallic hornets; I could make a noise like a bunch of chainsaws in a dumpster, fighting each other to get out. Then, ’94, I sold everything I had and moved to Tucson.¶ Fast forward thirty years or whatever. The idea starts to my mind: "Hmm I would like to have that pedal back." I go on Amazon, and there it is: same exact pedal, only now it has a "mod" switch in the back—mkay! Costs twice as much now—mkay! And by this point, I had learned to play the guitar. So what do I think of the pedal now??¶ Good morning, chainsaws, nice to see you again! Ah! my good friends, the titanium hornets!

It’s magic
I got this on sale for Black Friday and the sound quality is perfection. When you think of good heavy chugs this is the distortion you are looking for. At full price it would be a great value but on sale it was beyond worth the money.
