Exodus: The Ravenhood, Book 2

Book of the Year!!
This book! THIS BOOK!! I thought Flock owned me and was completely obsessed with it. Exodus really took me by surprise. Exodus is THE BOOK of the year! Never has a book brought out so many different emotions in me, and made me feel like I am right there with all of my beloved and tortured characters. I felt like I was going trough all of it with them. It has heartbreak, uncontrollable passion, deceit, betrayal, soooo many crazy secrets, and misunderstandings. I went into this book blind, and had no idea how things were going to play out. There were just so many options and possibilities.Exodus immediately picks up where Flock left off (huge cliffhanger).. We find Cecelia meeting “The Frenchman”. She finds him both magnificent and incredibly cruel. She is perplexed by his manipulation. He’s the” man behind the curtain”, and she’s both annoyed and intrigued by his constant presence. There is an instant and distinct electricity that crackles between the two of them whether they like it or not. I personally fell in love with this Frenchman, I don’t know why… but I did! I was very mad about Cecelia’s “ Golden Sun” and her “Cool Dark Cloud” left without any explanation…. It absolutely gutted me. I love both Dom and Sean. I loved the love they all shared together. We also find that after all her heartbreak, Cecelia starts to build more confidence and starts to feel the change in herself. She lost half of her mind due to heartbreak and wants nothing to do with love ever again. She will not stop the flicker of hope she finally has of living a “normal life”, claim it as her own. She’s trying to cover her emotional scars on the surface she’s collected no matter how deep they still run. Kate Stewart is such a mastermind with her writing… She keeps it at such an amazing slow pace that keeps you guessing ,there were surprises at every turn, from chapter 1 to the very end. Leaving you shocked, guessing just what the heck is going to happen next, such delicious and agonizing anticipation. Too many shocking turn of events and so many secrets revealed. I was completely shocked too many times to count as the story played out. There were several eargasam moments that were so utterly HOT, sensual, and erotic. I was COMPLETELY gutted in one unexpected and unwanted particular scene and I don’t know if I’ll ever get over it. I’m still feeling the effects of this book, and think I will for awhile to come. What I took away from this story was all these secrets did the most damage. OMFG…This is duet style narration by my favorites Maxine Mitchell and Joe Arden. They came to slay us all with their performances! I’ve listened to countless books these two have narrated, but this one is the best I’ve heard! It must have been very difficult for both of them to deal with all the raw emotions and excruciating pain that was dripping from their voices, but I FELT it! Maxine does the majority of the dialogue in this. Both of their voices were dripping with all the emotions a person could possibly feel. Joe got me REAL GOOD with his range of all the different male characters. His absolutely thrilling portrayal of Tobias was flawless with his beautiful French accent. Those extremely slow drawn out whispers, so sexy but yet so spine tingling chilling. The way he says, “ I see you”…. with all that raw uncontrolled emotion, breathtaking. So demanding, overpowering, and yet I felt the vulnerability in his tone. Joe you OWNED me sir in 2 particular chapters. The rawness of his emotions, completely and utterly destroyed me like no other book has before! Such an amazing performance, so damn good! This was by far Maxines BEST performances I’ve ever heard. She completely blew me away! I could feel and tell she put all of her heart, soul, passion, and love into her character at all times. She deserves ALL the awards. Just give them ALL to her! There were several chapters that I just ugly cried to. She made me feel all what she was saying and feeling. The way her voice quivers instinctively makes my lips quiver, and my eyes start to cry. I believed and bought into what she was saying and how she was saying it. Her character just kept on getting hit emotionally, and she’s such an amazing actress that I felt like I was going through all of it with her. Maxines performance will stay with me for quite awhile. So emotional for me, and that is extremely rare for me to feel this way about a book. Bravo! 💋 This book deeply touched me on several different levels. Made me feel furiously mad, feel deep love, obsessed, extremely frustrated, high anticipation, and finally relieved. Buy and listen to this book NOW!! What are you waiting for?

WOW, just WOW! Read this book NOW!!!
This book was beautiful and painful all at once. This is the 2nd book in the trilogy. Love the first book, but this book was absolutely AMAZING!!! It gave me all the "feels". So many twists and turns and beautifully written. I was shredded by the end and will be reading the series again once I'm done with the 3rd book. Thank you for such an amazing read!

love/hate at its best.
While there was quite a bit of internal monologue, this second half of the book was perfect. It took time to get some of the answers, but the revelations were mind blowing. The love triangle between Cecelia, Tobias, Sean and Dominic was empowering, heartbreaking, angsty, and just about every other emotion possible.

what a tailspin!
This book completely captivated me! I started and finished it in one sitting because I just couldn’t put it down. It made me sob, smile, and laugh, taking me through every possible emotion. What a genuine story filled with pain, heartbreak, love, and rebuilding. Kate Stewart, you did an amazing job with this one! I thought "Flock" was incredible, but this book is outstanding. I can't wait to read the third book, and I was so sad to finish this one.My heart still aches for Dom; that part really hit hard. After reading it on my Kindle, I know I need these books on my bookshelf and can’t wait to get them!A definitive 5 out of 5 stars for this book.

Wow!
This series - this book! I don't know the last time I've been so entrapped in a book. I usually always try to think of what would come next, and it was always something I couldn't predict happening. But it was incredible. It was a rollercoaster of emotions. Hot, hot - and then I BALLED my eyes out many times. So, so, good though!I also loved that she didn't use words repeatedly to describe situations. I thought it was very well written. Now I'm going to bed with puffy eyes and can't wait to start the next! Thanks for great read.

Lies can kill, love can heal
This is the second installment of a dark, heavy story. It is filled with betrayal, hurt, and so many lies. In spite of that, I was pulled in with an unusual attraction that is still a little baffling. The characters aren't lovable and the plot is far fetched. It is jolting how much pain the characters must endure, and there is just enough love sprinkled in to keep hope alive. My pull to this story must simply be the extraordinary writing and storytelling ability of this author. Quite a feat.

Only got a four because of Dom
Where to start with this book. Gosh Kate you just had to tear my heart out with Dom. It was a great read but I also wanted to hit Sean in the face as well in the end. Sorry not a fan of Tobias. But Cee went through so much crazy crap. I only continue to read it after Dom dealth because at that point I was only it it for Cee. This book was so heartbreaking but written beautifully

Must read.
If you loved book one, you cannot live with out book two. I don't know how to review this to you all without giving away pivotal information, and you cannot go in knowing ahead of time, because the impact is huge. What I will say, is this book does not disappoint in terms of excitment, it still brings you in, and you still follow Cecilia on her journey as if it's you're life. The author is able to bring you right back in and continue a beautiful storyline. So if you've read book 2 you NEED book 2. If you're here at book 2 and not read book one, that's awful and you must start at the beginning.Get your tissues while you're ordering this. You're going to need it.

A hard attemp to finish this book coz I am so into it!
I laugh, cry and get angry and all emotions along with the book and the characters.I totally understand Cecilia, what she did and what she's been doing. At first I think she is just a stupid left alone girl. But if I were her I would do the same. There are many parts of the books that say the right things in real life. I feel like I am the one who plays into this show. There is no a thing in "exoduse" that I disagree. It's totally true. I was wishing that Tobias and Cecilia stay a little stronger at his and her points, but somehow it's also beautiful that they enjoy the he'll together. The other part I also feel sad for Sean and Dominic. I would want all the of them like Cecilia. OMG how could I go on with my life after this series?I RECOMMEND THIS SERIES, ALL BOOKS OF IT!!!!!

Blissfully gutwrenching
Just as it predecesor, 5 out of 5 stars. This book earned my respect and my love and just as Cecelia, I also lost my heart to these men.I cried myself to sleep with this book. I hadn't fell so hard for a book since Will Traynor decided to keep going with his plan despite Lou beign by his side.Exodus made me so mad.And then made me hurt. And then put salt in my already bleeding wounds. It was WONDEFUL.I was not reading Cee's love story, I was experiencing it like it was my own.Three men. One girl. Many, many tears shed.I deeply recomend this book if you're into sexy, charming antiheroes with pretty eyes. And also if you LOVE to suffer to the extreme of getting permanent heart ache and have swollen eyes the next day when you show up to work.
