An Awesome Read!!
I enjoyed reading The Doctor’s Prize: A Sci-Fi Alien Romance. All about Cory Tucker a 1st mate on a starship & Doctor Damin an alien on a clean sweep spaceship. Cory & her crew are on a mission to dump & load scientists and cargo. On their way thru one of the quadrants they were hailed then boarded by an unfriendly predator! Who knocked all crewman out, then loaded everybody into containment boxes. All 29 boxes were cleaned & flushed out and vitals & nourishment was given in there sleep state. One human a female was violently sick and kept puking in the box. She had to bared for separately. Read about Cory & Doctor Damin and the trouble they get into on this ship. There is a ton of different human emotions running rampant on this ship, as well as alien pleasure. The author did a great job of describing these creatures and there culture. Hope you enjoy reading it, as much as did!

Blind allegiance can mean bad choices
The author has really caught my attention with this story. I really enjoyed the characters and would love to see what happens with the rest of the crew. Each one is damaged and yet has their own code of morals. I loved the doctor and how he changed throughout the book and the sassiness of his captive. There are some possible triggers, but the author wrapped the dark romance in a story that I know I will be reading again. I enjoyed this book and am looking forward to reading more by this author.

Really enjoyed this one
I love Maren Smith's writing. Her realistic and varied descriptions of contemporary BDSM are seriously hot, avoiding both the boredom of the same moves being used over and over, and facile allusions to practices other authors seem not to be experienced enough to describe well. Her storylines are great. The interactions of the characters, and the descriptions of them feel real and are, again, quite varied. We're not seeing the same dynamics or the same Dom and sub over and over. She understands and accurately portrays the importance of consent, and the tension with it that BDSM courting can bring up.So, even though this one is science fiction, and different for her, I read it because I like her other work and trust her as an author. I'm very glad I did.The basic genre is take-down and rough sex in the context of involuntary capture. This is obviously a fantasy. But nuanced in important ways. There are reasons for the overwhelming lust. The doctor/Dom of the title is deeply ethical and fundamentally nurturing. He knows what he's doing is wrong, but believes it to be justified for the survival of his race, and done with as much care as possible. The desperate situation of his people and its consequences are portrayed much more practically and imaginatively than in many books with similar tropes. The heroine actually thinks and acts like the professional pilot she is, and her refusal to give in is driven by the obligation of a prisoner to escape and try to rescue her crew. The fighting, sex and spanking are hot. I found the main characters sympathetic. However, this book is not as dark as many based on similar situations, which is why I describe it as a fantasy. This really important to me and made it possible for me to enjoy it.

Cory and Demin
Cory and her crew happen to get kidnaped by aliens that are in need of new genetic. Cory and her crew are put in support tubes and fed nutrients. While is statis Cory keeps getting sick so Demin the alien doctor has to wake Cory to take care of her. These aliens are not pirates but they are collectors. As Corey tries to get her freedom Demin has to keep her under control. While Cory is out of statis she gets lots of discipline and lots of steamy sex. These aliens tend to go into a rage and they are trying to dilute the DNA with the humans. This story was not quit what I expected by Marian Smith. I usually devour her stories but this one was quite difficult I just couldn't really get into it. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Good series potential
This was an okay book, but I can see the potential for a great series. My main issue was that it took too long for the two main characters to have the ability to talk to each other; once they could the book flowed much better. But I think its an interesting read. I am truly curious as to the fate of this couple moving forward and the planet as a whole.

What a great story line and lots of yummy naughty too
This was a great storyline. For once UT wasn't about the aliens needing the women to repopulate the society but clean sperm. The female just got caught up in the drama because she was on the ship. I loved the medical dilemma that brings these to together. Lots of non-con and dub-con early on but a great HEA ending. I can't wait to see where this story goes hope there is more from and as for the rest of the shipmates.

Pornish vs romance book
It's completely beyond any type of realistic belief- more on the role-playing fantasy type deal you'd see if someone was getting paid cash money to react that way. Meaning the mfc's reaction to the one portion of the book that was actual physical abuse isn't realistic at all. This doesn't make it a bad book - some of it I really thought was ok. However just ONCE I'd like to see a tough fighting mfc like her hold a realistic grudge & make the mmc sorry he'd turned his back on her. Make him have to actually fight for forgiveness because he was going to really lose her- as he should because he's an abusive jerk. Someone who didn't want to be a horrifying person that thought women can't think & live without their instruction & orders. I mean - if people don't like what would really happen in those situations- they shouldn't include such nonsense. All the fake non-mental breakdown of being kidnapped & abused is worrisome. It worries me when all the male characters are written like this because I'm curious if women authors don't know you can have fun kinky fun in the bedroom but still expect, deserve, & require love outside? Even wanting a big strong man isn't equal to him being a bully or make a woman have to be weak. Good luck out there sisters - love yourself. Therapy is great! ❤
