I am absolutely delighted by Jan Peck's story, "Way Down Deep in the Deep Blue Sea." And not because I happen to love scuba diving and swimming. The sweet book is a children's story that takes you on an extraordinary underwater adventure that is nothing short of magical. From the moment I opened its pages, I was transported to a world teeming with vibrant marine life and filled with the boundless curiosity of the young protagonist. Petrone's illustrations burst with color and life, immersing me in the breathtaking beauty of the deep blue sea. The story's lyrical rhyming carries you along on a journey that is both educational and heartwarming, and teaches the wonders of the natural world. I especially love that the kid is not afraid of whales or sharks. "Way Down Deep in the Deep Blue Sea" is a true gem that sparks the imagination and leaves readers, young and old, with a sense of wonder and a deep appreciation for the treasures that lie beneath the waves. One of my favorite children’s books for library and home. A favorite read aloud with toddlers, prek-2nd, and a great gift for mothers-to-be. I recently purchased several to give as gifts and a kindergartener immediately picked it up and read it through. Great repetitive rhyming text and a fun ending.

My 3 year old loves this book and even reads along

My 2-year-old son loves this book! The rhyming is great for toddlers and the book is beautifully illustrated. We cannot go one day without my son begging to read it. Although at this point, he can now recite it by heart. I highly recommend this book for anyone with a young child who loves to read or loves fish!

I love what Jan Peck has done with this imaginative story. It sings along with great lyrics, is a pleasure to read silently or aloud, and is full of fun scenes that kids will enjoy. And the ending is a fantastic surprise!

This book is a really cute children's book. The illustrator did an awesome job and used very bright colors! It is my sons favorite book and the book he learned to read on. When our first one got torn he was so upset! I am glad I found it here on amazon!

I bought this for my 6 yr old grandson and he enjoyed the story. He is an advanced reader and I felt this book is geared for the younger 4-5 yr. olds. Pictures are adorable!
