I was in the market for a portable drawing board that was lightweight and not cumbersome. Typical student clipboard-style drawing boards are cheaper, but heavier weight, and therefore more cumbersome, so I went with the square-edge board. Additionally, I decided to go with one that could serve as an easel as well, to reduce the number of things that I need to carry. This one checks all the boxes--very light weight *and* it can be set up at a variety of angles or used flat. It's also very sturdy to work with, doesn't slide around on the table when I draw on it, and never feels wobbly when drawing near the upper corners of the board, as can happen with tripod-style easels. I thought the landscape orientation might be limiting, but I tested it out, and if I ever want to use it in portrait orientation, I still have the option of attaching it to a standard easel and using it that way as well. I highly recommend this!

Works great for drawing and water colour painting

I was happy with the drawing board, though it was a bit rough. I did add several coats of polyurethane to protect the laminate wood.

I use this easle a bunch. The only issue is that sometimes it is good to draw on a slight angle, if you are doing detailed close up work. It doesn't have a low enough setting for this. Otherwise, I am very happy with it.

This is perfect for large Diamond Painting canvas especially if you have bad back
