Great concept, subpar execution
First off the stitching looked very cheap and was very noticeable. The bun maker is not designed for small heads or thin hair. It just looked like a toddlers sad attempt to fix their hair when I was done. Not sure if I resembled dumbo or Despereaux more the way the ends stuck out past my head. The metal frame inside has a poor memory of its original shape and had kinks even when I tried to straighten it. So if you have a big head, tons of hair and your looking for a one time use product then buy this and give it five stars.as for me Iāll be recovering from my public embarrassment.

Great hairpiece!
I love how tight you can get your bun with this and they really stay in well! I've used this type of hair piece before, but this has a reinforced edge support metal, so it keeps shape better and stays put easier.

I'm sure this would be nice if it worked.
I think this is such a nice idea, really--I love the look in the product pic, with the cute little bow edges in the back. And maybe it would work in some people's hair. I hope so. My hair is long-ish (shoulder blade length, I suppose), but it's very fine and maybe a bit slick in texture, so this little gadget just can't gain purchase. At least that's what I assume the problem is. Who knows. All I know is, I followed the directions pretty carefully, pinched and rolled as instructed, and when I went to wind the two ends together in the final step: FLOP. By "flop," I don't mean it fell entirely down. No, it just sort of flopped sideways. I plan to continue the valiant struggle, maybe with bobbie pins and such, but I just don't know if it will ever work. I confess I didn't read the reviews before ordering, and if I had, I probably would have thought better of it. Now, here I am, and I guess at this point I will just add my voice to the chorus of people saying similar things: if you have hair with good texture and structure, AND all one length, AND mad hair skills--this product might work for you! If your hair lacks any of those features but you still have mad skills: maybe you can work something out. If you are like me (low skill, fine hair, a few layers), I'd go for some other tool.

Too big!
Considered big if you have a small head. I think the concept is great. I truly had a hard time twisting the hair thang because of the size. Looked good once i finally got it inā¦yet, my hair is straight and fineā¦kept slipping down. Just sayingā¦

Like the bow concept
I havenāt quite figured put how to wind my hair correctly, butPro: bow ends fold up nicelyLight weight material so it iisnāt heavy on your headColors are vibrantCons: opening has no elastic or anything to help hold hair as you get startedA bit difficult to straighten out the wires after first use

Doesn't work with long thick hair
I so wanted them to work. I viewed all the video tutorials both in the product description and customer review ones. I have long below the shoulder hair and it's thick. It's also the same length all over with zero layers. I couldn't even pull my hair half-way to the ends while folding under without a bunch escaping since the hole is just a fabric slit. I could not start turning under even at the half way point because the wires would bend together and make it unable to move any further. Maybe the type that pinch hair between two pieces might work but this one just doesn't. Plus after trying a bunch of times the wires were so mangled they wouldn't be usuable for many more uses anyway. Maybe if it had foam padding around the wires and under the fabric? Not for me.

Easy to use
Bought this after finding one of my original ones from the 90s. Is so easy to use and gives a fast, cute hairstyle.

Fun little gimmick
These look like they're made out of a much thicker, higher quality material, but they're really just flimsy fabric over some plastic-coated wire. I almost regret buying them except they turn out so cute when you get the hang of how to roll your hair up in them. I have really thin, fine, straight hair, so it was really hard for me to get the roll started. The twist also doesn't hold well if I do anything more vigorous than a gentle walk. I'll keep what I ordered, but I definitely won't be ordering more...
