I absolutely love this teapot. The colors are vibrant and gorgeous...AND...it works like a teapot should! Forty ounces is VERY large for a ceramic teapot, and I have been looking for one this size.The way I use it: Once the kettle starts boiling, I fill the teapot with hot water and dump it out. Then I add tea leaves and or bags and pour in boiling water. According to the tea I'm using, I let it steep for 3 to 10 minutes. Pour into a cup and enjoy 4 large mugs of tea in the evening, especially, but I use it all the time now when I want more than one cup of tea. Did I say I loved this teapot?

I love this teapot. It’s so beautifully painted and is simply a pleasure to use. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is that the opening is so small. Other than that it’s great. I noticed some reviewers complained about cracking. I recommend priming the teapot with hot tap water before brewing. Let the hot water sit for several minutes then pour out and add boiling water for brewing. This will prevent cracking.

This was on my wish list for a long time and I finally bought it. I am thrilled. It is the perfect size for me and so beautiful. I love it.

It's the cutest teapot. And it holds a lot of tea, which I love. the only downside is that you have to make sure the lid is positioned correctly when you put it on. It's not a round fit. It'd a "D" fit, but that is not visible on top where the knob is. You have to look at the bottom to align it, before putting it on the pot. But you get used to this quickly.
