Fun Version Of Monopoly, Shorter Game Play, Requires New Strategies, Decoder Thing Not Great
The media could not be loaded. If you've played Monopoly before, it can be a looooong drawn out game. There is some but not a ton of strategy to the original game and there is not much that can throw a surprise wrench into one's plans in regular Monopoly aside from landing on something like Park Place and having to pay rent on it when their is a hotel in place. This game is substantially different from the classic Monopoly and you will likely complete a game in a much shorter amount of time. With three players it took us a little over two hours to get through a game the first time around. Here are the key differences between this and regular Monopoly:1) There are no utilities on the board in this version of Monopoly.2) There are railroads but you can't buy them. When you land on a railroad you must move to the next property that is still held by the bank and not owned by any player.3) When you land on a property that is not owned by anyone you may of course buy it. If you opt not to buy it then it is immediately auctioned off with a starting bid of $10. Any player may bid and there is no cap on the final sale price. This generally means that the first time ANY player lands on a property it will be sold. This makes the game go faster.4) Each bill has a code on it that is decoded by a magnifying glass type thing. Each Chance card has the same type of code on it. The code indicates whether is is fake or genuine.5) Any time any bill changes hands or a Chance card is used a player may choose to "inspect” it. The "inspection process" may be seen in the video attached. In order to inspect the bill or Chance card you use a thing that looks like a magnifying glass to see if the Monopoly character that is revealed is wearing a mask or not. It he is wearing a mask the bill or the Chance card is counterfeit. If the Chance card is counterfeit, the player does not get to use it. If the bill is counterfeit, the player who inspects the bill gets to keep it and the player who tried to render a payment with it must replace the counterfeit bill with another bill from their personal holdings.5) There are no houses to buy, just hotels. There are not enough hotels for all properties.6) Players can wheel and deal at any time. They can sell properties, trade properties, sell or trade Community Chance cards.7) There are no mortgage values associated with properties. Instead, players may sell properties back to the bank at face value at any time to raise cash.8) The game ends when all properties have been sold. When all properties are sold, everyone counts up all their cash. Whoever has the most cash wins the game. If you wanted to keep going you could keep going until one person owned everything.Things that remain the same between this version and the classic version of Monopoly include:1) You still collect $200 every time you pass go2) You may still end up in jail.3) Rolling doubles gets you another turn and rolling doubles three times in a row lands you in jail.4) When anyone lands on a property you own, they must pay you rent.5) When you own all (2 or 3) properties at a given location, anyone who lands on those properties must pay you a higher rate.If you've played regular Monopoly you will have no problem learning to play this. If you like Monopoly but don't want to risk getting stuck playing a game that might last for a few days, this would be a good alternative to play. The introduction of counterfeit cash and Chance cards introduces a lot of new wrinkles into the game some of which you may not realize or think about before you encounter them. You may need to play this version a few times to figure out the best strategies for navigating the obstacles and opportunities presented by the introduction of counterfeit cards and cash. The only real gripe I have with this game is the "inspections" required to determine whether Chance cards or cash are real or counterfeit. This can be and is a pretty fast paced game but when someone wants to inspect cash or a Chance card, it can be difficult to get the decoder aligned just right. This can bring everything to a complete stop for a minute while trying to get the decoder aligned just right. It would be much better if the decoder revealed a big "FAKE" or "REAL" instead of having to look for the Monopoly Character with or without a mask. As the game is now, every "inspection" brings the game to a halt for at least 30 seconds while someone struggles with the encoder.Overall, this is a fun and shorter version of Monopoly. It takes a bit more strategy to play than regular Monopoly. It's good for all ages and the kids will probably appreciate being able to use the magnifying glass identify counterfeit cash and cards while adults may get annoyed with how much the inspections interrupt the flow of the game. It's a 4-Star product and would be a 5-star product if they could come up with an easier and faster way to examine the Chance cards and cash for fakes.

Fun and interesting
Fun and amazing game my friend introduced me to it and I had to have it in my arsenal of games. Only Bad thing it was damaged at the warehouse and they still shipped it... the box it arrived it was perfect but the game box was a tad rough and broke on the bottom.

Shorter and more fun than the original
Luck and strategy are equal in this game. It's better if the banker is not a player in the game.
