It fit well on my 18 kilo cockapoo. He was totally nonplussed about wearing it out and about after car journey. I didn't want to be taking it on and off as he's an old boy with arthritic legs. It is hard at the front, but this has to be for safety. It's light, and very easy to fit on dog and in car.I had want a Kugo harness buy didn't have the size I wanted, so chose this because of crash test efficacy.

This is a good product, my dog Reggie, a very large cocker spaniel seemed perfectly comfortable in the harness whilst we travelled. He is usually on a slip lead for walks so not used to to a harness, this item did not bother him at all and he seemed very comfortable in it. I have given it 4 stars as he once manage£ to get out of it himself, fortunately we had stopped travelling and we were going to get him out of the car at 5he time. Probably just the excitement of a walk and seeing other dogs that made him struggle with it and get out of it.Seems like a well made and sturdy dog car safety harness, reassured me he was safe in the car. I would recommend this item.

Great quality product

This product is good, and sturdy. However we had two issues, one was that the dog managed to release the harness from the safety belt as he - I suspect - stood on the button. maybe a cover is needed to stop this happening. Also at one point he managed to wriggle out of the harness even though I thought it was tight enough, so this is something to bear in mind when putting the harness on the dog

We have a miniature dachshund the x-small comes up high, on the chest and in all fairness could have been a better design with adjustable neck straps, hence point deduction. It took me some time to make up my mind on on this product, hence we took her on a test drive and let our pup have the deciding vote.She seemed comfortable, secure & controlled when any family member needs to take her out on journeys alone.

I am so pleased with this Car Safe Crash Tested harness for my dog because it is relatively easy to put on him. Some of the products which we have purchased in the past for him are utterly ridiculous and we both struggle to get the various "things" on him, especially as one becomes "older" and your fingers don't work as well as they used to when you were younger! Anyway, I am delighted to say that this is no longer an issue with this product and I have now used it on him in the car (he's a dacshund by the way) and this product is just brilliant. I feel that he is much safer and the harness is nicely padded to protect his chest area if he should lunge forward in the event of any sudden braking. I am very pleased with this product and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone else who might be looking to purchase this item.

Bought this after friends had a serious collision (not their fault). They have a large dog who thankfully was not in the car at the time or he could have been badly injured, normally he's sitting unrestrained in the back seat. Realising I'm guilty of the same thing I decided to get Sky (my dog) a quality safety harness. Settled on this as it was the only one I saw with a "crash tested" rating. I assume that to apply labeling to this effect that it has to be true. In use the seatbelt goes through a large loop in the back of the harness and plugs in as normal and works fairly well. An improvement would be an actual plug in buckle for the seatbelt for easier use. Found the construction and overall finish of the harness very good and you can attach a lead quickly for walking. Have two minor criticisms, bought largest size available but had to fully extend all straps to get it on my dog. She's a 33KG Chinook with a chest size of about 32" and this harness fits but with no room for expansion. Also I'd suggest supervision when using this, my wife usually sits in the back too. Left to her own devices on a solo trip with me, she (the dog) managed to get her leg entangled in the seatbelt. In conclusion, the best solution I could see at present for dog car safety. Saw some truly ridiculous examples while searching. Bungee style collar attached to seatbelt!!! That's a dog with a broken neck in an accident. This product isn't perfect but is one of the best I could find.
