I used this to connect my Digitech 2120 processors to my computer. These are programmable guitar processors that are nearly 20 years old. I'm always living in fear that they'll break down one day, so I've managed to acquire three of them from a popular online auction site. But the programs are complicated, and take a long time to create...so I need a midi interface to connect these processors to the computer, so I can back them up, and restore them to the processors if necessary! I have another midi interface (an M-Audio 1x1) that I've been using before now. It worked, but not all that well. Sometimes it wouldn't connect, and I could never figure out why! I was having problems late last night, and decided I'd had enough. I ordered this cable from Amazon with the same day shipping, and got it this afternoon!I plugged the MIDI ends of this cable into my processor, and the USB end into my computer, and before I walked around the desk to sit down, Windows 7 had already loaded the drivers and it was ready to go. I've been messing with it for several hours now, and it's both faster than my previous midi interface, and more reliable. And it was about half as much as that other one.I probably wouldn't have written a review on this, but the truth is I spent quite a while looking for a midi interface that was known to work with my old processors, and in the end, I had to take a chance. I was about to order a different one, but I found a youtube video that suggested that one DIDN'T work...which was helpful...but he neglected to share any details about the one that he DID get to work!!??!! Anyway, I'm writing this so that someone in the same situation might not have to spend two hours in the middle of the night just to discover he had to guess anyway!!!

Works Great!!!I have a Sanvoy that I've had for 6 years and it has worked flawlessly until recently. It's been causing notes to sustain and I have to close the program and restart! It's annoying when you're on stage and you're playing and you have notes sustaining, not a good look!I wanted to be sure that it was the cable and not the program, so I researched and decided to get this one, used it twice and I have no complaints.Only 1 1/2 CON The light makes it look cheap and it flashes constantly so I put a piece of black electric tape over the window and no more annoying red & blue lights. The other 1/2 is that you get a little latency initially when you first start playing, but you have to go to MIDI SETUP on what ever program you're using and make sure that USB to MIDI is selected, and that you are on the lowest Latency Sample mine goes down to 32 samples. That should do it.

I bought a different cable, about half the price, that worked for a day or two and then crapped out on me. This cable has been great - it works perfectly, and I'm very happy with it.

Do not lament the new PCs and Lap Tops without a Midi Connector, this adapter works superbly through the USB port.. The driver is stable and easily installs. The Red and Blue Leds indicate signal flow in and out. Used with a mini Midi keyboard and the right music authoring software I am learning piano. If you want to connect a Midi device to your newer PC, this is the solution hands down !

Works exactly as intende, even with my old old yamaha keyboard. It's $10 more than the made-in-China alternative, but it actually works. It's worth the money. It also has LEDs to tell you when it is sending and receiving data.

It works... But..... I get some crackling feedback in my headphones. But that could be caused by many other things. Not sure yetEDIT: this cable was NOT the cause of my crackling
