An enjoyable game
The game itself qualifies as a turn-based game with an interesting story to accompany it. However it is important to mention this game is part of a series it doesn’t mean you have to play every legends of heroes games or any of the trails of games, but some of the games intersect occasionally. This game could be a standalone game or if you ever want to jump into the series.

Amazing, old-school mechanics and engrossing story.
If you enjoy(or grew up with 16-bit) rpgs, you will thoroughly enjoy this title. A little heavy on story exposition at times; you will read alot. Luckily, the story is amazing.

The GOAT RPG series
No other series has gone on as long and maintained quality telling one contiguous story

Trails series is truly one of a kind.
Such a fantastic series. Great switch port and highly recommended to anyone looking to jump into this series. While I do recommend you start with trails in the sky this game wouldn’t be a terrible spot to jump in and enjoy the trails series.

The start of Crossbell has never looked so good
Amazon delivered the package within two days and in sealed condition. This is a part of long running Trails series that has deep storytelling and incredible world building. However, you can easily jump in from this point and not be lost. The story here starts with a new protagonist and connects to a much larger story with many other games. Get lost in the world of Trails with the rest of us.

Fantastic Intro to Trails
I thoroughly enjoyed this game, it's my first Trails game and the plot is as endearingly convoluted as I had heard, but while there were clearly some Trails in the Sky references, I don't think I was lost without having played them. Buyer's should be warned that it is a slow build and there is some cheesiness (especiallywith Lloyd), but if you're good with that this is a great time. Can't wait for Azure!

A good place to start.
I've thus far put in a little over sixty hours and am somewhere in chapter three. This is a very enjoyable game. The story is engaging and the main characters are quite likeable. I appreciate the underdog aspect found in this game where, at first, the main characters are merely adequate at their job and aren't immediately accepted by everyone. We see them grow and improve as the story progresses. Because of this, though, that means there is a lot of text to be read since there is a lot of world-building throughout this game. You will have to read it since this game has no English dub. All the voices are in Japanese. I personally don't have a problem with that but I know some may.I don't have a huge problem with the translation here. My biggest gripe is that the translators taken a lot of liberties here. My Japanese is practically non-existent but even I can tell that many things aren't being translated properly. To their credit though it doesn't seem like they're pushing any moronic identity politics in this game as so many English localization teams are wont to do now for some idiotic reason. The game-play is turn-based and is similar to the first two Lunar games. This game is difficult like most Japanese RPGs. There are several mechanics that you are taught at the beginning of the game and you will need to employ them during battles. I'm playing on Normal difficulty and found the first few boss battles to be frustratingly difficult. However once I started to utilize every tool at my disposal the battles have become easier though they still pose a challenge. If you're hesitant about playing this game because you haven't played any other games in the franchise you don't need to worry about that. This takes place after "Trails in the Sky" and, while there are some references to that trilogy, you needn't worry about finding the plot confusing. I never played it since the second and third games were released digitally and I only purchase physical copies of things yet I'm able to follow the story with zero problems.Overall, I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys a standard Japanese RPG. That means you will find a decent story with lots of text to read, battles that actually offer a challenge and likeable characters. You'll also find attractive women here as Japanese games have those. I know many Western journalists seem to find attractive women to be offensive for some really odd reason so I figured I would add that as a warning to those who feel the same. I do not in case anyone is wondering. If you don't like typical Japanese turn-based RPGs this game won't change your stance. If, however, you are a fan then you'll most likely get your money's worth here.

Can't recommend enough.
I'm so grateful this came to the Switch. I started this series some years ago for the battle system (my favorite battle system is turned based) but having played everything up to CSIV as of today, yes I'm still in for the gameplay, but the story guys, oh my god the story. I'm a very patient gamer and the fact that you can give me one that expands for over 10 games... Surely I am never going to experience anything like this again. This game in particular is not the first in the Trails series, but it is in the Crossbell arc. Even though I'll always recommend starting from the Sky arc, it's ok if you start with this one if you don't care that much about references from past games or the story in general.Gorgeous looking and fun to play, a must-play if you want to experience later the even better Trails to Azure. Amazing game, amazing arc, amazing series.

海外版零の軌跡
スイッチ版でやれるとは思わなかったが、海外版ですが音声が日本語で楽しめる所が良かったです。自分の仕事休みに届いたのも良かったです。
