Bane and Wren are on FIRE!!! I mean I melted!!! This has to be one of my favorite books now!!! I want to find me a Bane!!! 🔥 🔥🔥🔥

This book is the epitome of “touch her and you die” he’s obsessed with her and it SHOWS. Plot was a bit scattered but an overall good time!

I love this story. Bane and Wren are phenomenal together. Their journey is amazing, hot and down right sinful. I love the secondary characters as well. There are some errors in here that annoy but did not take away from the story enough for me to not finish, or give this a lower star rating. The flow of this book is done well. I absolutely recommend this book.

This is a story about Bane—as he says, “King of coke and pussy!”, and Wren who owns and runs a pet grooming shop. I was hooked by this story when the beginning was in the Reign anthology and immediately added it to my TBR list when it came out.Bane is one determined character, once he has his mind set on something he is completely focused on that task and in this story it is Wren! I think it even took him by surprise how much she became the focal point of his life. As I said before he is one very arrogant, self-assured man who knows what he wants. Wren is a great character, she has done it tough too and had to become one strong young woman. She knows how to give it back to Bane when needed and stands her ground.Together they have incredible chemistry and their passion is off the charts. They certainly burn up the sheets, couch, floor… wherever 😀 over and over, in the lust-filled scenes. I liked how Wren felt confident to be able to share her fantasies with Bane and of course, Bane thoroughly enjoyed them too. 😃The suspense element in the background is something that teases readers with what’s happening without giving a lot of information. I felt there could have been a little more of this in the story but then wham! Suddenly, the action really heated up and things become a lot more tense with situations getting out of hand and holy moly the excitement meter was in overdrive, I loved it.Of course, along with this you experience the intensity of the emotions and they truly are felt deeply. I found myself laughing with characters, getting annoyed with them, even scoffing at a few but also fearing for them and then feeling heartbroken. A full menu of emotions is definitely on offer in this story.I have to say I immediately enjoyed this opposites attract story and look forward to reading the next one about Dagger and his equally opposite Detective Cox!

Wow! This book is my first by Kally, and I like it a lot; it has me intrigued from the beginning; Bane and Wren's chemistry was off the charts, and the sex scenes were 🥵 get ready for a cold shower.I recommend it!!

Aaaaaand I'm done at only pg 63. Any woman who is so controlled by her libido and would get turned on by a man who is openly intent on killing her brother -- not to mention has already beaten her baby brother up -- is not anybody I could have ANY respect for or want to read about. While her willingness to contemplate the deal the mobster offered to be his personal sex toy for the sake of saving her brother insinuates some sort of twisted loyalty, just the fact that the jerk fully intends to kill her brother and is blackmailing her should be enough to ruin whatever attraction his looks engendered, sort of like those handsome men that the minute they open their mouths it ruins everything, yeah that. But not so for the stupid, vag-led female lead, murder and blackmail should be a point too far but apparently not for this skank.So, I went ahead and finished it and let's just say the author went with the Hollywood "it's a flesh wound" unreality rather than honest portrayals congruent with action that occurred. First off Andy gets shot in the chest and has blood burbling out of his mouth, but then the author has him being called into the boss's office and sitting around chatting about more security work days later while Wren is still in the hospital from the beating even though we were told she had no broken bones and no internal bleeding that they could tell, and Andy obviously had internal bleeding from a gsw -- you don't get over something like that in a few days. Then as One reviewer is already submitted the conceptual flaws with the plot device regarding the warehouse being signed over to the other drug dealer, so no need to dive into that. I had a huge problem with Bane's promiscuity because, hey nothing says Wren is his one and only like getting double teamed only hours before a date with her by two of his employees. Riiiiight. There are just too many incongruities or conceptual flaws and in they definitely lower the quality of the storytelling.On the positive side, the premise is engaging enough if you can get past the libido driven female and the factual and conceptual flaws. The premise of the story, on the face of it, is coercive rape, but the author has left no ambiguity so it's very clear the female lead had no hesitation about sleeping with a guy who was about to kill her brother -- so at least the author didn't play fast and loose with issues of consent.

Bane & Wren have this uncontrollable bond that ignites with their passion and need for each other. Wren has always protected her brother Hawk and would do anything to keep him safe. She makes a deal with Bane to eliminate her brothers debt. She never knew how much being around him would make her feel things she’d never felt before. Bane is a drug dealer and a sex club owner but when he is around Wren he is a different man. She makes him better and he has no desire or ability to let her go. There are several twists and turns with some hot & sexy scenes between these two lovers. This story will leave you satisfied fully. Book 2 follows Bane’s right hand man and I know it’s going to be just as good as this one! Happy Reading!!

Now this is a man that I want to have in my corner. He’s everything a passionate woman wants. Yes he’s a drug dealer and owns The Dollhouse but he’s got pure fire in his soul. Wren was his perfect fit. She met him while trying to settle her brother’s debt. Bane wanted her instead of the money. Definitely worth the read!

3.5 ⭐️This is a first for me by this author and I am definitely looking forward to reading the second in this duet. I am intrigued to know a bit more about Dagger.Before I go any further let me just say I loved the shout out to ‘James Earl Jones was the man’! On the first page at that🫶🏻This book says it’s a dark romance, for some it may well be but for me it wasn’t really.- Mafia romance- Touch her you die vibes- Mafia boss/ alphahole- Businesswomen / feisty- ‘Let’s make a deal’- book 1 of duet / different couplesOur two leads are Bane and Wren, one could say they don’t mean under the best circumstances.. considering Bane is threatening her brother after he sole from him and she yet again is ready to do whatever it takes to get her brother out of trouble. Bane wants her the minute he sees her, the sass the comes out of her mouth only makes him want her more.Bane is a dangerous business man, in his own words he is ‘f*cking king’. He is feared by many, respected by most and wanted by all. He runs a very successful gentleman’s club his very own ‘dollhouse’, with highly elite members and beautiful dancers. He thinks he has it all and is untouchable.However when his drug dealers start to turn up dead, the police breathing down his neck and Wren busting his balls any chance she gets.. he soon starts to realise he is losing control in a few aspects of his life but when it comes to her, he couldn’t be happier about it!Will he be able to keep her safe?Will she give him more than two weeks?Wren is beautiful, sassy and sweet. She has looked after her brother her whole life and she continues to do so no matter what it costs her.. even if it means getting into bed with the devil literally. She opened her own dog grooming business, which is starting to suffer, she has a brother who is risking everything time and time again and she’s trying to keep her head above water.Even she can’t deny the attraction she has to Bane, even when she’s asking him to leave her brother alone.Can she keep her brother safe and out of trouble?Will she let him in or will she end up just another ‘doll’?I have to be honest I like to read reviews after I’ve finished reading, not before and I do agree with many on here.. the fact the MMC got a bl0wj0b from one woman, while he ate another after steamy moments with MFC especially as he decided he would do whatever it takes to keep her.Kind of throw me off a wee bit, though they weren’t exclusive at that point. It just felt he was saying he was more in than his actions proved. Plus it never comes to light, I know it’s a minor thing but it bugged me a bit.This book has a bit of everything;- drama- Drugs- Betrayal- Love- SteaminessOverall a great read and I would recommend .I’ll finish with one of my favourite quotes;“You’re never to be on your knees for me, Wren. Never. It’s me who has to worship at your feet” - Swoon 😍

Good read loved bane and his possessiveness over wren. Wren was very defiant and didn’t take no crap from anyone. I felt for her because of all the bailing out she’d done for her brother and then for it to end the way it did she didn’t deserve it. Would of given it 5 stars if bane was a little more crazy and messed up with how he dealt with people that betrayed him or if it was dark read but was still a good book and looking forward to daggers/Tony’s book

Really badly written extremely weak story line. No depth whatsoever to the characters. Starts off slow then suddenly from one paragraph to next the characters emotions completely change towards one another. Probably one of the worst books I’ve read in that genre. Can clearly see copies of other authors books storylines have been translated into this poorly written book. Nothing about this book screams dark mafia!! Probably about a paragraph written in relation to anything associated with drugs or his persona as a club owner, sex scenes were extremely repetitive and therefore became boring after the 3rd….. likes to gram at least 3 in each chapter. Don’t waste your money read back of a cereal box for free instead.

Ok story but nothing I haven't read before.Didn't particularly like the main characters.Basically the book was full of sex but not erotic it all felt too staged.Won't be bothering with any follow up books

First book by this author and can’t wait to read the second one in the series.Don’t like to leave spoilers just know it is a must read.
