Works well for Tile Floors
We have an extensive collection of fine rugs and decided to change the under-pads which were showing some signs of wear. After trying the felt under-pads we found they had little or no adhesion on our tile floors. However we have found these under-pads work very well and adhere well to tile with no slippage which is important for smaller rugs.

It makes our throw rugs much safer—and it works!
UPDATE: I have been using these for almost 2 years now, and have not noticed any yellow of our Armstrong vinyl.Original Review: As many others have said, we were warned against using synthetic rubber on our Armstrong vinyl floors. For many years, I have had to search and search for throw rugs that did not have any of the white, fake rubber backing, which of course, are cheaper and come in greater selections. I recently replaced the throw rugs on our master bathroom, and boy-oh-boy, were the new ones slippery! I felt one of us was going to end up falling, for sure. So, I came to trusty Amazon and started looking. I know I searched for a safer alternative years ago and did not find any. This time, I came upon these. I order a large one to cut down to the correct sizes I need. The rugs are reversible ones: one side has close loops, the other side longer loops, almost a short shag. I was’t sure this would work since they don’t have that stiff off-white netting-type stuff on the back (sorry, don’t know what that’s called). I was very pleasantly pleased with the performance of these natural rubber rug pads—they work great! It is very, very easy to cut. I cut it about two inches smaller than the rugs, all around. It works so well that I came back to buy more for all the throw rugs in the house (7 more, total). It’s a little pricy, but worth it to know I don’t have to worry about a rug slipping out from under me. I did not notice any smell, unless you stick it right up to your nose, then it has a mild scent. Since it’s natural rubber, it is a lot safer for you than the synthetic backings, which contain VOC’s. I’ve only had them a few days, so I cannot personally guarantee they won’t cause any yellowing of the vinyl, but all my research showed that they should not. I’m curious to do an experiment and see how little I can use under a rug and have it still be effective, like small squares in each corner, or something. If that works out, I’ll update. Why didn’t I do this sooner?

jWorks well!
I have it under a wool rug in the den, there is a good amount of foot traffic and a dog but the rug stays put. Also, the pad provides a nice amount of cushion which I didn't think it would since it's not that thick. No smell either which is great! I have it on vinyl flooring, its been a few months and no noticeable issues.

These REALLY work!
If you're sick of cheap rug pads that do absolutely nothing to keep your rug in place, look no further. I have several pads from Rug Pad USA, in a variety of styles and thinknesses, and every single one stands up to my 95 pound dog on our tile floors. They're the best!

Just What We Needed - 10 Year Warranty Too!
I recently purchased new outdoor mats for our front and back doors. They are made from nautical rope and their only disadvantage is that they do not stay in place unless a rug pad is used.I did my usual due diligence, checking various websites to see what rug pads are considered to be the most suitable and durable. The wirecutter website, which I have found to be a reliable place to get legitimate and detailed reviews, recommended this specific rug pad, so I ordered three of them. One for each of our outside mats.It was easy to trim them to the appropriate size, and they work perfectly with our nautical rope mats. They keep the mat from slipping and sliding away, and they don't add much height (or depth, however you look at it) to the overall height (or depth) of the mat. These pads are made with over 1lb of natural rubber per sq yard, are made in the USA, and come with a 10 year warranty. Note that the warranty is not mentioned here on Amazon. I obtained that information from the rugpadusa website directly. We've been using these for just a couple of months now, so I can't rate them on long term durability - but the 10 year warranty gives me some confidence that they will last.

The Best Padding I've Found
I've used padding over the years and have been using old scraps for my bathroom mats. The mats slid, however, and always looked messy. I was also a bit concerned about someone sliding on them.Somewhat reluctantly, I went online to search for a new mat. I dislike when I can't feel the mat first so I know how thick and "grippy" it is. But the reviews were decent and so I ordered this one.I'm not sure if it's visible in my photo (look at the top mat in the picture, my new favorite) but this is by far the best matting I now own. It is a little thicker and the rubber covers more of the flooring. My floor mats aren't slipping. I plan to replace some of my other rubber matting with this one.Extra points to the company for not using extra materials for the mailing. They simply slipped the matting into the Amazon bag and shipped it. No extra bags to throw out (yes, I try to reuse them, but I have too many!) I hope other companies follow their lead!

Made my floor slippery
I bought this rug pad because it is natural rubber and I did not want to damage my hardwood floors. I left it for a couple of weeks in one spot on the floor and then moved it to a different place. There was no damage to the floor, but I noticed that the spot where the rug was sitting was VERY slick. I think the rug pad mustt have caused this problem, as I can't think of any other reason why it would happen
