Excellent freshness and texture.
Excellent freshness and texture. But for me it ends there in the sense that it just doesn't quite have enough of that black licorice flavor for me. This is subjective of course, but I feel the Broadway pinwheel style does better in that regard. Slightly on the sweet side for my taste, not enough bite. I do not want to talk this down at all, some of you might really like it. Black licorice is an acquired taste for sure and we won't all agree on it. I say give this a try, it might be for you.

is NOT soft black licorice
False advertising: The outside of the bag says "Baysidecandy.com", and the label on the back says "Kenny's Black Licorice Bites". It was listed as soft black licorice. They are bite-size, but are very hard, difficult to chew & have no taste. Big mistake. I would not recommend, and I in fact am pitching the rest of bag into the trash. This is the first bad review I've ever written for soft black licorice on amazon. All the rest have been excellent.

Great licorice.
This licorice is the closest to the licorice I had as a kid (60 years ago). That was Switzers licorice, which is no longer available. Thank you Kenny's!
