Sol Wellness Himalayan Salt Lamp

I absolutely LOVE my Sol Wellness Himalayan Salt Lamp! I have heard of them before and I've seen them, but this is my first one to purchase. The product description states that they have healing properties associated with them, such as,"purifying the air, helping to regulate body circulation and PH balances, making you feel healthier while improving your mental state! It naturally clears its surroundings of allergens, including pollen, smoke, dust particles and other air pollutants. It's perfect for allergens, allergies, and asthma sufferers." Well, you don't have to try to sell me....if it does have of that I'm really happy.I've had my Salt Lamp for a week or more, I haven't noticed the health benefits yet, it may be helping I just haven't noticed yet. But what I have noticed is how beautiful the corner of the room looks when I have this Lamp lit. The gorgeous amber/pink hue is creates a very relaxing and calm mood. The lighting is adjustable so you can dim it if you'd like. I love mine on the highest setting. The lamp will heat, but not at any type of danger point. Besides it's only a 15 watt bulb. Each one is unique, mine was about 10 lbs and is about 11" tall.I will be getting another one for my bedroom.

I don't know if the health benefit claims of salt lamps are true but when these lamps are on sale (I got mine for $10 each) they are definitely worth the price for a pretty neat looking, long bulb lasting, soft light lamp.What these are are chunks of pink/orange salt mounted to a wooden lamp base with a dimmer/on/off switch.I use one as a night light in my 6 and 8 year olds room and it works great for giving them enough light to keep them happy without affecting their sleep. The light bulb seems to last forever as my 10 year old always forgets to turn hers off and it is still working after 2 years. The dimmer option is nice as my older daughter can read by the light if it's turned up but it can also be turned down very low for sleeping.I hope some of the health claims are true but have yet to see compelling scientific evidence to support them. But they can't hurt, so why not use them, right?

I love the salt lamp lamps but mine came in a broken box which was let bad. It was wrapped well. The problem I have is it says it comes with a dimmer switch and it didn't. All it is on and off switch. That's the reason I bought it because I could dim it. May be sending it back until they can send me what I wanted.

I have been sleeping with my new Sol Wellness Himalayan Salt Lamp for one week now. Straight out of the box, it would not stand erect on its own, as there was a flaw in the plastic (what???) base, and the added natural tilt of an irregularly shaped block of salt was too much weight, and the lamp would rock back and forth. My husband was able to break off the plastic piece that kept the cord "straight", as it had been assembled twisted...and the only way to remedy this was to break the plastic part. Moving on. The light this lamp casts is interesting. I have never in my life slept with a "night light", and it is a little hard to get used to...but the glow from the lamp is SO warm and SO soothing that I don't think it bothers me. I have not had any issues falling asleep, due to the added light, and I have also found MUCH ease returning to sleep once I am up during the night, which I tend to be a few times. I feel that I am sleeping deeper and for longer periods because of the lamp. I have already bought an additional lamp for my mother, and I will DEFINITELY look for a larger lamp for the main living room of my home. There is a sense of wellness associated with having it on. We keep it on from the time we begin to get ready for bed, until we get up in the morning. My only recommendation to the company is to invest in a lamp stand with a little muscle -- one that can handle the nice quality salt lamp you sell!!!

I ordered 2 of these at the same time I ordered a more established brand that was a bit more expensive to see the difference. (WBM) One of these had an orange liquid that came off on my hands when I unwrapped it. Aesthetically, these are much more lopsided and rugged looking. They look like they have been chopped or broken off, but they are wrapped with no broken pieces inside. The glow is still nice.

I'm disappointed. I didn't check it within the 30 day return limit, but when I did plug it in, the lamp didn't work at all. I opened it up to check the bulb, and the inside electrical housing was corroded. I tried a different bulb and different outlets--nothing. The salt rock itself is beautiful, but I can't enjoy the full use of the lamp.

Great lamp, first it is large ( I had some concern that it would be really small) the one I received is about 10" tall. I also had concern of how it would show up being a big chunck of salt would it be broken. It was fully intact maybe a couple little loose grains. The light that it emits is very nice and soothing. The dimmer works very nice. I keep mine next to my bed and have it set low as I sleep. I recommend this lamp and company if you are looking to get a salt lamp.

This is my 3rd salt lamp purchase and my first from Sol Wellness. If you haven't tried a lamp in your bedroom, you should. I swear I sleep much better with mine so I purchased this for the living room so all can benefit from the benefits and provide relief to my crew of allergy and asthma sufferers. The uniqueness of the salt lamp is gorgeous and you can adjust the glow of the lamp so I dim it at night and then turn it up in the morning. It is a great conversation piece, fits in to any decor and has such great health benefits, everyone should have these. I even keep one in my office at work to help purify the air. Only reason I removed a star was the packaging was sub par. The box looked like it had been wet and then dried and was barely together but fortunately, the shrink wrap around the lamp protected it well.
