Used frozen raspberries for jam so included pectin powder to ensure a good set. I mixed powder with a little water to a thick paste, added this directly to the fruit at simmer stage, prior to adding sugar. I used pectin at 1% proportion to fruit - 10 g/ kilo fruit. The result was a very quick, firm set with no loss of colour vibrancy due to long exposure to heat.

as above , I normally get mine from Waitrose which gives me simple instructions however they seem to have stopped doing it, I hate runny Marmalade so it will be interesting to see how much is needed per kilo of sugar. if it is good & I can work out the righ ammount then i certainley will order afgain

This has been my first experience with dry pectin, not terribly happy with the results. I think it would need to be mixed with the sugar first before either are added to the juice, but I'll be sticking to liquid pectin from now on. As it was, a thick skin formed on the surface of the jam as I was pouring it into the jars, forming lumps, but the jam didn't set. I had to start all over again with liquid pectin, losing a lot of the jam in the original jars. Of course it may have been my lack of experience with this particular product.

Great product! I was experimenting with ruby grapefruit and elderflower marmalade . Hardly set at all , rebooked using this pectin .. perfect 🤩

Used to set a batch of jam o.k. A printed sheet or website ref. could be useful (how much to use/how to add to jam/pectin levels in fruit) but this can found on line so is not essential.

Bought to use in jam making. Easy to use but had to look up ratio for recipes as it was not stated on bulk pack. Works well but to be honest no better than sugar and lemon. Both made equally firm jams and jellies.
