Twist, turns and the BEST conclusion to an unforgettable journey!
What a satisfying end to an incredible series!!!This history has so many layers, so many mysteries and clues that come together to make it a un-put-downable read. Everything is tied up, and it feels both inevitable and effortless.I find it to be incredibly difficult to world build a story like this without any info dumping, Sophie has that rare ability to make you inhabit the story in the most compelling way. She also moves forward plotlines and character development in a action packed pace. Every moment feels important, necessary and perfectly crafted. I also adore the small inclusions of folklore and language idioms, it makes characters feel more authentic and well rounded individuals. Was the SPY who I thought it was? - YESWas Miss Robin who I thought it was? - YESWas the heroine's back story what I guessed? - YESWas all of it PERFECT - HELL YES!There are twist! There are turns! But it all comes from the right places, it all makes sense in a way that when you know, you can't un see. I adore that, because the plot twists are not made for shock value, they are there because they have been planned to happen all along, with careful attention to detail and insane imagination. Also this book was crazy hot , and the chemistry between the hero and heroine was off the charts. I also appreciated how the hero ended up gravitating to a strong heroine, specially because as he mentioned it was what he was used to, he was used to being surrounded by that wild, strong female energy and damn were they perfect for each other, kindred souls that found their match, and isn't that what romance is all about? The only caveat that I have is that I would have liked for the hero and heroine to have more time together, but I understand that it was a sacrifice that needed to be made in order to get enough time to wrap other important and super interesting side stories. At the end of this book, you are in love with everyone, and you are both extremely happy to have read it and extremely sad that is over. All the stars and all the praise for the Kingmakers series!Looking forward to a lot more from Sophie Lark.

Best book in the series
I loved this book so much. I read it in a day and when I wasn't reading (hello, adult responsibilities) I was thinking about it. That rarely happens for me so that's how I know it is special.I loved that Sophie had spent 3 books describing the character of Ares and then completely turned the character on his head in his own book. I found myself so invested in his back story and also kinda mad he was lying to Nix whilst being intimate with her. But, sucks to be him (not really though) as he falls madly in love with her, oops! The part where the group leave the island for the other place (trying not to spoil here) I was on the edge of my seat and I actually felt like I was there with them. I'm glad more than the two main characters went along and I am here for Sabrina and Adrik!!!LOVE LOVE LOVED the Christmas dance scene and the girl-on-girl stuff. I did not see that coming but it was amazing and I want to know more! So glad Sabrina will be getting her own book!My first 5 star read of 2022 - thoroughly enjoyed!

Amazing book ! What a rollercoaster
What an amazing ending to an amazing series ! I don't even know how to express the way this book made me feel !Without giving away any spoilers, the relationship between the H and heroine is a pulling string between love and hate, with a guaranteed happy ending. The angst level is not high, even though there's lots of action happening, with romance and hot scenes that will make you feel all hot. The epilogue wraps all the characters in the series and it's really heart-melting. I couldn't have imagined such a beautiful and wonderful ending !If you want to read a book that will give you all the feels and intense heartbeating, suspense, action and hot hot hot scenes, then The Spy is for you. It's a standalone, but I recommend reading all the series if you want to know the other characters better. It's all worth it,I promise. I'm such a picky reader and I have to admit, this series is the best I read so far. Bravo,Sophie Lark ! 👏

Loved it!!!!
So I had been wanting to read the spy since Leo’s book the heir. While waiting there was never a slip up on who the spy might be and it made me want it that much more every time another book in the series was released. I’m so glad it was who I thought it was everything just came together amongst the twists in this book. There was some hot scenes in this book the pool scene(just saying). I’m glad all the main favs came together to battle I think that had to be one of the epic moments of kingsmakers. Lastly I loved the little snippets of each couple at the end it was the perfect way to end the kingmakers.I’m sad it’s the end I loved this series hard the whole kingsmakers school for mafia heirs, spy’s, etc was just amazing. Devoured it all and now I’m going to go cry in a corner because it’s ended!!!! 10000% recommend the whole series

Long Live the Kingmakers
An absolutely incredible conclusion to an amazing series. It was everything I hoped it would be and more. The amount of work it must have taken to combine all these storylines into a beautifully detailed and seamlessly rich story. With details from the current series, and nods to the parents histories from previous collections, it all tied together into one heart pounding ride. The romance is steamy, with all the heartache of star crossed lovers and first love. The friendships are the foundation to everything, had me fist pumping the air whenever characters went to the mat for each other. Everyone gets a chance to shine in this book. Those epilogues had my heart bursting. Sophie Larks best work to date and that says a lot. Every book in this series is a 5 star read.
