Not quite as easy as the video shows, but definately worth my money.
I purchased this "Cococut" cutter after doing some research on tools that can open coconuts without the use of a knife/hammer/screwdriver. I know there are many ways one can open a coconut, but this must be one of the safer ways. On many occasions I have tried the "whack the coconut with the back of a cleaver" deal and it does work... but can be a little dangerous. Sometimes it is also difficult to get the coconut meat out without further prying.I've only had this tool less than a month, but I've opened a good 7-8 coconuts with it. So far so good. It takes some getting used to, and I've found that if I shave off the top of the coconut to get more of the husk off the top, it cuts down on the time to open a coconut. It still takes a few minutes to open, but is way less messy, and the opening is big enough to pull the coconut meat out without having to hack the coconut in half.The tool itself is made of plastic and a serrated blade, perhaps not the most durable appearing, but I will have to put it through some more use before I can adequately comment.I'm happy so far and would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves fresh young coconuts!

Waste your money elsewhere
I thought people remarking how this was difficult to use were just 'weak' and not used to opening coconuts. It's truly a horrible product. Even if you manage to hold the coconut still and gnaw into it with this stupid device, it never seems to clearly cut through. It gets to a point where twisting seems like its doing nothing, and eventually you have to pry the top off with a knife.I love young thai coconuts and wanted this as an alternative to my coconut knife. Do not bother with this product.

Better to just use a cleaver
Did not really work well at all. Was more of a workout and time consuming. Better to just use a cleaver.

It works!
Coconut worked very well opening up Young Coconuts! I spent years using a knife or small machete. This useful tool took less than 3 minutes to open and enjoy the sweet meat and water!

This darn thing works
No more slamming a coconut with a cleaver. Takes a little muscle, but not that much. Saw it (turn it) back and forth and it cuts a perfect hole. You might need a dowel or a metal rod to pop the cut center out of the tool but there's a hole on the top for that. This really works on young husked coconuts.

Not what I had anticipated
I watched a video on their website that made it look easy to use. I ordered two and was disappointed to find that it is a struggle to use, and takes much longer than shown in the video.
