Quality camera, hard to configure, but here are some instructions
It took forever to get this thing configured, so I want to help out others. First of all, it is actually the Wanscam HW0047 (Wanscam has a website but it is laughably slow.) Don't bother looking it up under this KNewmart thing. It works as an H.264 camera and uses an RTSP stream on port 554. I was not able to get ONVIF working, but it was detected as an ONVIF camera with two softwares I used. If you can use ONVIF to get it working, more power to you. I was configuring mine for Synology Surveillance Station and it finally worked. Here's what I configured it as:Put in the IP address (obviously)Port is 554Brand is [User Define]Source path is /11 (I got the hint for this from here: [...]login and password are what you set it to (default is admin/admin)If you want to test out the camera to see if it is putting out its RTSP stream, you can view it using the free VLC media player (I did it on Mac). You open a Network source and put in the URL rtsp://[login]:[password]@[IP Address]:554/11. If you leave out the login and PW it will prompt you for it.

Great! if you know what you are doing.
So first off i can see why some people have trouble with the camera since the documentation is not the best and you really need to adjust your settings. I don't use the manufacture's software for viewing since i don't trust giving access to my network, which complicates things but if you take the time you can get it to work with other software you trust. I use iSpy, which adds more complexity but better control. In the web interface you are going to want to go through every settings link and READ TO UNDERSTAND what each one does. They have three users programmed into the camera which you CANNOT erase, this is a security risk, but you can change the passwords. DO that first. In video settings, check your steam settings. you have 3. First, Second, and mobile. I changed my first stream frame rate to 24FPS, but you also want to change your BITRATE and use the maximum number if your network can handle it. If you are dropping connection to your camera it can be from two things. 1) your network connection is not fast enough, new better router. 2) network channel is congested 2.4GHz is used by many devices.I would have given 3 stars but if you know what you are doing and don't use the supplied software the camera is actually a really great deal and does the job.If you are not tech savvy, buy a nestcam, or netgear arlo. They are stupidly expensive but almost plug and play with no hassle.

Super Value
Well packaged. The camera housing and bracket is well made. The camera guts appear to actually be made by another popular camera manufacturer since their information is printed on the circuit board (Wanscam HW0047). Interesting! The whole "scan the barcode to configure the camera" process is a load of rubbish. It did not work for me as others have stated. However we know it's an IP camera. It works by connecting to a network. So after plugging in an ethernet cable and checking my router to see what devices were connected, I found the camera and its assigned IP - no problem. I opened up my browser and connected to that IP and finished the rest of the configuration on the camera: resolution, video stream settings, time/date, and WIFI password. At this point the trick is to setup the camera with a static IP address so that we can connect to it later. I did that right on the camera itself under Network Settings (fixed address). You would also need to do this in order to connect to the camera from anywhere on the internet using port forwarding.Overall a very good deal on a 720p IP/wifi camera!

Constant Hacking Attempts from Egypt
These are cheap cameras with low resolution and really clunky configuration software. Most importantly, if I don't have these 100% disabled from being able to reach the internet, they are CONSTANTLY getting hacking attempts from IP addresses in Egypt. I have two of these cameras, and on my network ONLY those two cameras are attacked.Anyone lacking the technical skills to configure their internet router to keep these from being exposed to outside hacks, or worse lacking the skills to change the default camera credentials, should STAY AWAY from these devices. And if you have those skills, you'll probably find a better camera that's more configurable and higher quality for the same price. Like the WYZE cameras with the hacked open source firmware available on GitHub. https://amzn.to/2KSbj8M Just add a waterproof housing and you have a much much better camera for less money.

I am pretty good with computers but could not get the cameras ...
The reason for the three stars is that I spent hours following the directions to hook up the camera without using a cable. I am pretty good with computers but could not get the cameras software to allow me to input symbols that are in my routers password. When I loaded the software that came with the camera my virus detection told me it was a threat. After 4 hours of trying I finally ran a wire to the router. Now the camera works great. I'm finally happy with it but the company needs to improve its software and provide an easier way for the buyer to ask questions about tech support.

Great camera but security concerns with the password.
Pretty good IP camera. Most of the time it works great. Can monitor it when away from home. Good picture quality and night vision works great. Took quite a bit of work to get it paired with the software at first, however the software has since been updated an pairs a bit better now. The software is kind garbage, and a bit of a pain to navigate. The software nags that the password is not secure but will not allow you to change it from the default. You change the password then click save, check the password again and it is still set to the default password. This is an issue that does concern me, as the software for it is updated more frequently than most of these cheap Chinese devices are I keep hoping this will be fixed in a future update but with every update it is the same issue.
