The best cheap chisels for carpentry
I have several of these and the steel is excellent -- easy to sharpen and holds an edge for a long time. The grind is thick enough to take a beating, but thin enough to do fine work.These are great chisels for general carpentry and can also be used for fine woodworking. They are a nice size for fitting into tool bags, and they fit in the plastic Occidental Leather chisel holders.

Ok chisel
Sharp ootb. Back took no time to flatten, could have left alone as cked., with straight edge and could see very little lite anywhere. Honed it on a 2000 grit stone and have just played around on soft and hard woods and works well. Time will tell.

Workhorse
I have high end chisels for woodworking and I use the Buck Bros for heavy duty chopping and anytime I feel like I may strike a nail or embedded metal. They resharpen easily and are of stout quality so they can take a beating.I have a 3/4 chisel that a finally worn down after 30+ years of use. That’s value!!!

The best
Very sharp also has a striker on the end of the handle like the old Stanley’s ,I think I’m gonna rotate my old Stanley’s out.
