These are like half wool, but they are thick and cozy. And, unlike some of my other budget wool socks, they wash well, don't shrink much, and don't sag off your foot in ridiculous ways. They stay put.I live in Alaska, where good wool socks are a must for winter. But I have been sick of the boring patterns on the super-tough and expensive hiking socks. These were a great balance of lower cost, quality, warmth, and cuteness. I also have to spend a lot of time chasing kids, and having my socks barely hanging on drives me nuts. These do their job good; they're cute, warm, house and boots socks. I wouldn't go hiking in subzero temps with them, but I have ugly socks for that!I've had my current set a month with daily wear, and I am back to buy some for Christmas for the rest of my family!

I got these for a recent trip to Wisconsin for a game at Lambeau Field in December and they were perfect - very comfortable, not too thick, and kept my feet very warm in my boots. Cute colors, too. Would definitely get again when needed.

Received these socks today and couldn't wait to try them out. I did, however, receive different colors than the picture for "cat-dot" showed - instead of a pair of brown and a pair of white, I received a pair of mauve and a pair of aqua. I DID decide before ordering that I would be happy with whatever colors they sent as long as they were woolen and warm; so the color subs didn't bother me, but if you are very color-specific, be warned, there might be subs!The socks ARE just as a reviewer pictured on the label - 55% wool, 25% cotton, 15% polyester, 5% spandex. My feet are always too warm (unless it is 40° or below) and they get temperature-claustrophobic in enclosed shoes (that are necessary for active-wear activities!), so a high enough wool content was a must and why I ordered these. Another reviewer had mentioned cold feet at work and being able to wear these socks from work's cold zone out into 100° heat, to home and starting dinner before taking them off - this was a sign they *moderate* temperature, instead of just trapping heat in (shoes do that enough).These socks come up about 3-4" above the ankle, NOT mid calf length; again, fine for my needs. I got these to have a pair for my Duck boots, and they are short enough not to be seen, sitting below the higher sherpa cuff of the boot - so colors don't matter for this need. I also got them to have a pair for indoors on colder winter nights, and 3 pairs for regular wear.I agree with other reviewers that they are a bit thick to wear in your regular shoes, but since I size up for boots, they made my Ducks fit perfectly and very comfortably. These woolen socks and the Duck's all-sherpa lining = total weatherproof protection/moderation for rains and cold; that equals feet that are happily content and at the right temperature regardless of what the weather does in the course of a day while you are outside. These are great boot socks, if you order boots a size or half-size up.Putting the socks on, they are just the right density - not super thick not too thin - plush and cushy, soft and comfortable, perfect boot or lounging socks. Might be a bit too thick to get in shoes, but they also have a medium-weight sock set for that, if it is what you are wanting. I am very glad I found and ordered these, after looking for hours for socks that wouldn't make my feet crazy at the thought of going into boots. These socks are that perfect solution - especially for hot feet, for boots, for lounging.I did not find the socks to lack or vary in thickness or quality. BTW, *any* manufacturing process can have the occasional quality control blip. If it happens, try contacting the company and let them know. Most of the time, they will replace those items.I did not find any issues with these socks. They made even my shoes-and-socks-averse feet all smiles from the time I tried them on.Great value for the price and very comfortable. Perfect loungewear and boot socks for happy feet. Plush and cushy enough to feel indulgent without being too much. Not itchy or scratchy, just regulated comfort within regardless of what is going on outside.

These socks are nice and thick. Warm and comfortable. They do tend to pill at the heel, but they're a great value for the price.

The wool content make these socks warm, soft, and breathable. They are very cute and soft. Too thick to wear with most shoes, but perfect to wear around the house in the winter.

I love these socks. Tall enough that my leggings stay put over them, not bulky & very soft. Keep my feet warm in just my sneakers on my walks but since I don't walk my little dog when below 32 degrees I can only attest to their warmth to that level. Love wool socks when it's cold & recommend to anyone

I was influenced to buy these socks and they are worth the hype. I live in a cold climate and these are great for at home or even going out in the elements. They keep my feet so warm and I love the trendy neutral colors!

Gave these as stocking stuffers to several people + kept 1 pair for myself. All in agreement that these socks are very comfortable, colours hold, they wash and dry well and true to size. Not a true winter sock for our frigid winters but certainly very good for the shoulder seasons and temps that are only a little below 0 centigrade.

Kuschlig, echt warm, gehen auch bei 40 Grad Wäsche nicht ein. Ich ziehe sie auch ohne dünne Strümpfe drunter an, sind weich, angenehm zu tragen, einfach toll, klare Empfehlung.
