The best pump for an inflatable kayak! Better than Shark II and alternatives.
The OutdoorMaster 16PSI SUP Air Pump is an outstanding pump for an inflatable kayak or SUP. It has a form factor not much larger than the Shark II pump and performs almost identically or possibly a little better, but unlike the Shark II, you can take it anywhere and inflate your kayak or SUP using the integrated battery. It comes with a 12VDC (cigarette lighter style) and an AC (wall outlet) plug, so finding a place to charge it at home or in the car is no problem. Mine took about three hours to recharge, and then a charge lasts for several inflations of my kayak. The kayak I use is an Aquaglide Chelan 155. The side chambers take 3psi, and the floor takes 6psi. The Whale pump is able to inflate all three chambers to the desired pressure in less than 6 minutes. It runs on the high capacity setting until the pressure reaches 1 to 1.5psi, and then the lower capacity high pressure setting kicks in to reach the desired pressure. Upon reaching the pressure (which can be set in 0.5 increments to any value from 0.5 to 16.0 psi), the pump automatically shuts off, but a quiet cooling fan continues to run for approximately three minutes and then it shuts itself off. This is WONDERFUL. Basically, you connect it to the air valve, set the PSI, press the power button to start the pump, and walk away to get other things ready. When the pump shuts off, move it to the next air valve and repeat until the kayak or SUP is fully inflated. Super simple. The pump is moderately noisy like a vacuum during the initial high capacity inflation stage, and quite a bit louder with a throaty rumbling noise like an air compressor after the pressure rises about 1 to 1.5psi. The noisier stage of the pump increases the pressure by approximately 1psi about every 15 to 20 seconds in my case, but this will likely vary depending on the volume of the chamber you're filling. The point is that it's pretty quick. After several inflation cycles, I find that the pump is very consistent. I don't have a separate pressure gauge to verify accuracy, but I trust that it's very close to the psi shown on the screen and have no concerns about overinflating. Nevertheless, on hot days, I usually set the psi about 0.5psi lower than the manufacturer specified amount in order to leave a little room for atmospheric expansion as the sunlight heats the kayak throughout the day. This seems to work well.I have not used the pump to deflate my kayak, as the valves on the Chelan 155 make it very easy to deflate manually and I prefer to leave it loosely rolled in the bed of my truck (so it can breathe and dry better) instead of trying to squeeze it smaller to stow in the original storage bag. I suspect it works fine and is probably much faster to deflate since the internal pressure of the kayak or SUP will be working with the pump to vacate the air. There's really no reason to get the Shark II pump now that the Whale is available. It's all the benefits of that pump in a nicer, more portable package that makes it well worth the additional ~$50 cost. The Whale gives you the flexibility to inflate the kayak or SUP wherever you choose, instead of having to be close to an outlet, and it can also be taken along on extended trips when you may need to reinflate or adjust the pressure of your inflatable as temperatures swing throughout the day or night. Best of all, it seems to have PLENTY of battery power for a couple of SUPs or, in the case of my kayak (which inflates to a lower pressure than many SUPs), at least four or five inflations before I feel like I should charge it. Simply awesome. I highly recommend it.

Works great
It works great and is really convenient for an inflatable stand up paddle board. It holds a charge well and inflates pretty quickly and you can set the psi it inflates to.

Super Custoner Service
I like to highlight their customer service! When we had an issue with the pump, they corrected the issue. Not only did they correct it, they corrected it extremely quickly. Communication was great. Oh ya, the pump worked great and is very convenient when you want to pump at the site vs at your vehicle.

Great customer service
The pump works fine. I came here to write a positive note about their customer service. We had an issue where the AC charger stopped working. Right away, they sent me a new charger. When that didn't work, they replaced the pump with a new one. Their customer service was responsive and quick. There were no delays in getting the replacement.

Great PSI
The Pros and Cons…I love that I don’t need to use the huge pump anymore! The pump comes with plenty attachments, that will allow you fill other things. This pump is pretty loud, you will draw attention to yourself. The advertised light bar is just there for looks.

A must have for multiple lake inflatables!
I have paddleboards, floating dock and a Body glove aquabat mat and this is an absolute must have. Completely worth the $175ish cost. The battery pack lasts quite long and the portability makes it so convenient for the lake! My inflatables get filled and I am not sweaty! Really like the deflation ability as well, really vacuum seals down the items quickly. Only bizarre thing is it makes quite a howling sound if you turn it on without it connected due to resonation within the ribbed hose. Overall very happy and glad I made the purchase. Cost hurt slightly at first, but worth it!!!!

Fully inflates two Body Glove Performer 11 paddleboards
We purchased two inflatable paddle boards (Body Glove Performer 11 from Costco) last year. The downside of inflatable boards is that they require a great deal of manual pumping just to get to 15psi. With our boards that works out to 300-350 pumps with the included manual air pump, per board. To me, having to manually pump 700 times before I can even ride the board defeats the purpose of having inflatable boards. I purchased a competitor's battery operated pump before this one (lower cost). The reviews said the pump could pump up two paddle boards or more on one charge. It did fill the boards about 1/3 of the way before it stopped pumping, leaving me to pump the other 2/3. I sent it back. I'm happy to say this Outdoormaster 16psi pump does exactly what I need it to do. It pumps up both our Bodyglove Performer 11 paddle boards ALL THE WAY to 15psi (the max pressure for our boards). Yay, no manual pumping now. It might even do more boards, as there is still battery left, but I have no need to find out. It also does a great job of deflating the boards, which is so much easier than trying to squeeze out the last remaining air before you roll it up. The only negative I can give on this pump is the lack of a carrying case. That should be standard. If you have the Bodyglove Performer 11 paddle board and you want a pump that will fill your board (and more), buy this pump.

Seems solid
Only used it once to inflate and deflate a Hobie Itrek 11. worked very well, quickly and surprisingly not to noisy. battery display showed still full after. Very easy to use. Was gonna get the Shark model. Happy I opted for this one. Can work/charge off houshold 110v, 12v or internal battery. A way to store the hose would be a good add.

Used it for my kayak and blew it up in 8-10 minutes.
Really impressed with this pump. I've used it twice now plugged in. Once to electrical outlet and once to my vehicle. I was able to blow up my kayak (3 psi and 6 psi) chambers quickly within a few minutes for each of them. In total less than 10 minutes. The various nozzles are handy to have. I did notice I had to really push the nozzle into the kayak valve with some force, but once I got the method down I found it easy. Deflating was also simple to do and allowed me to pack up the kayak like new.

Works perfectly
It does inflate fairly fast with auto stop at 15 psi. It switched on it’s own from low to high pressure during the process

So far so good.
Used it only once to inflate three paddleboards on a full charge and had 2 bars left after. A little bit pricey compared to other brands with same feature but I am very satisfied with the purchase.

Air Hose Attachments - needs Bayonet adapter
Haven't had a chance to put this pump through any real work yet - but I did want to quickly comment on the available hose parts.Especially in case you have an Advanced Elements kayak that requires a custom airhose fitting https://www.amazon.ca/Advanced-Elements-Inline-Adaptor-Pressure/dp/B00946CZYA. Since this fitting is not included among the attachments that came with the Whale pump, I needed to find an adapter https://www.amazon.ca/Inflatable-Adaptor-Standard-Conventional-Attachment/dp/B08ZXXZWKV?th=1Unfortunately the adapter I found with the bayonet fitting was too tight a fit, and I had to ream out and file the custom fitting slightly to fit into the adapter for a proper seal. The entire assembly which can become rather unwieldy as can be seen in the picture. At the very bottom of the picture is a construct of what would be the ideal bayonet adapter for the Whale pump.

Slow and loud
Works well... But soooo slow. We hand pumped one of our two boards to 15 psi much faster than this pump. It's also extremely loud which I feel bad about because it takes 30 min to inflate two of our boards and the whole lake has to listen to the disruptive noise while we are doing it.
