TRP0328 Floating Turtle Trap

I’m not pleased with the Trap. I have small snaking turtles that are maybe 3-5 pounds. I’ll drive up and see them laying on the top of the Trap. I also checked the Trap which had 2 Turtles in the Trap one morning. When my husband got home they had escaped. I wouldn’t recommended especially considering the price. We’ve not be able to catch any turtles to relocate. We are back to square one and out ALOT of money.

Looks like a turtle catching machine, hopefully. I've had it in the water for 6 days and only had 1 small turtle climb on top of it that was too small to fall in. I even put a dead fish on the door and had no takers except flies. The larger turtles will look at it but so far have no interest in it. I hope I didn't waste my money.

Solid built, but I guess I have so smart turtles since they won’t go need it. I’ll hang some chicken parts in it to see if that works. It’s nice but no luck on catching the turtles on my pond

I like the design and construction of the metal trap, but the Attwood air filled floats developed leakes. The original set failed after a couple of months use. I replaced them with the same type of Attwood floats. These failed on the first use. My turtle trap sunk, fortunately it was in a shallow locaton and I was able to retrieve the trap.

the equipment is well built. been in the water a couple weeks. really hard to say how it is going to work. followed directions on setting the depth. sorry to say have not caught any turtles yet. with such little use so far I don't know it is fair for me to rate the trap. the trap has not shown that is worth the price. 2 stars could be low but it has not proven to be great trap.

Seems well built I needed something bigger for the snappers injuring my ducks so I returned it.My return postage back was horrendous. Had to Fed Ex it.Make sure you it suits you for the size of turtles you want to catch before you buy.

Works pretty good. The hinges will need lunrication often. I had to add bouys to the sides under the ramps for when turtle(s) rest on the hinge part of frame to keep them from letting trapped turtles out.

I like it but whoever the manufacturing is needs to inspect it a little better. One of the welds on the face of the angle was cracked down the middle of the weld.
