Great read
I wish more stateside books griped me, but alas it seems the most fantastical stories only come from Japan. Bully!

Great Volume with 1 problem...
The story and plot points were great .. The comedy was hilarious and it sets everything up for the next Volume plot perfectly... My only issue with this Volume was Noelle... There is nothing wrong with her per say she is just very boring normal and bland...I know she is important to the plot as a main character ( the main character of the volume actually she's on the cover)..... But it feel like she's a minor character that got bumped up to a main character ( in other words it's it feels forced)I know it's not just me either in the " Afterwords" author talks about how in the previous Volume Noelle was over shadowed by Marie little redemption story... So he made an effort to put her more center stage in this volume... And it felt forced...I honestly liked her better in the last Volume 4 when she takes a more of a minor background role .. I don't really fault the author I just don't think Noelle has what it take to lead as " The main character"She's just too nice, passive and normal... Her "Attitude" is supposed to be what set her apart but she doesn't even have that much she's just a bit direct but then other times she's not?? So what's the point then??There are just too many other more interesting characters in the series Leon, Marie, 5 idiots, Angie,Oliva all are more interesting... Even some side characters like Clarice , Deirdre have more personality.. I'd even rank Louise above Noelle... in the interesting department To be clear I don't hate Noelle or anything... I just think that she makes a lousy lead and drags the story down a bit...... when there are much better options... I hope Author puts her back into more of a background character role next Volume....Other than that great Volume though....

Oh man this one stressed me out in a good way
I was getting mad half way throughout and was like you have everything you need but it all paid off. I love it!! The story is still hilarious. Leon is as pompous as ever when grand standing and the character growth for multiple characters was fantastic this is the series that keep on giving.

Unchanging MC ruins the story somewhat
While I love this series for the humour the decisions of the MC in some of the book made little sense. I get that the MC is supposed to be oblivious to an extent for the humour but it gets grating at times. Then for this volume the MC in part of the book changes how he normally is and it seemed like it was written that way to extend the story and felt off. Still overall the story was a good continuation even with the off putting part.

Finally.
This volume finally gave some character development for the Idiots brigade. I was getting tired of their antics but halve way through and towards the end they came out shinning for me.Had a great time with this volume as well.

Not baf
Its fairly good for its genre. If you like protagonist who are not saints in all thwir actions then this story might suit you. Not a fan of harems though so despite that im fine for the stories sake, didnt give it 5 stars.

One of best in the series
So trigger warning apart of the plots in this volume deals with domestic violence both physical and mental, stalking and attempted murder of the victims. But also the way people can excuse DV for their own benefit. The story uses magic and mechs. You will get upset, but their is a Happy ending. The next book will finish this arc

Predictable, repetitive, inconsistent
As many here, I'm assuming we read light novels for the entertainment and enjoy them for the most part, even with their flaws. I usually try to give a novel AND the author the benefit of the doubt and hope for a decent story and writing style. This is not it. As I mentioned in a previous review, this story has potential, it's a typical "Isekai" reincarnation novel. But it falls short because the author is incredibly predictable, repetitive and inconsistent. The main character has the intelligence of a child, he lacks literally any basic logic, even though he is supposed to be portrayed as a person with previous life experience. The author has written the character with almost absolutely no development and what little development does occur is "conveniently forgotten" in the next paragraph. Every situation is predictable and these situations would not occur if legitimately anyone thought about it for more than 10 seconds. If you have read this far, you are aware that the story revolves around a world in a feudal /imperialistic setting and everyone has ambitions but are somehow never clever enough to think outside "any type of box" as the expression goes. None of the character really "think". The android/AI/Robot is used as a crutch by the author but that's the ultimate limit. I could understand if the characters thought the "game scenario" would still applicable in the first volume, as they were just being "awakened" to their new life. But 5 volumes later, the character still, for some reason uses the "excuse" that this is a "game". That is insane. The author obviously did not want the character becoming self aware and is always dense for some reason, when it comes to Japanese tropes but these characters live, kill and feel in an actual world but still put importance on the "game" scenario, even though the simple fact of having individuals with knowledge of said game changes the entire dynamic of the world and would create an entirely new reality, removing almost all semblance of "scripted" events. Again I'm assuming this is also a crutch for the author to contain the story within a certain realm but it could be so much more. BLUF: If you do not enjoy predictable, repetitive, inconsistent characters with the logic of amoeba (just to force situational development) do no read this novel, move on to another title. I really wanted it to have potential but in every major event the author fails to write anything that's not cliche, trope or typical.

Could be better
The series has its charm and I like to turn a blind eye to some parts.... Especially for me the rather annoying "funny" parts with the reverse harem. But this time the MC's character traits and decisions were often so illogical to steer the story the way the author wanted, that the story is just (very) bad sometimes.... I am seriously considering if this was my last volume.I know other stories do the same for the plot sometimes too... But this time: To bad, to often.

Underwhelming
This review contains spoilers. This volume is very underwhelming. Basically the whole plot of it is, that the characters make idiotic decisions which leads to a 'tragic' forced marriage angle. What made this series good, was that it was different, that it stood out, but this volume sometimes was hard to read because the characters decisions are just so dumb, without reasoning and super cliche. Leon was a pain in this volume and don't even get me started on Noelle. I low key kinda hated her in this volume.Only real positives are- Leon and Marie's relationship grows stronger- the idiot brigade does something decent for the first time in like.... ever- Angie and Livia come to visit Leon- more background info on the whole Rault/Lespinasse situationAs for the downs- Leon for some reason acts like a major idiot throughout almost the entire volume- this whole 'forced marriage' angle. absolutely terrible. no enjoyment for me whatsover.- apart from their visit, Angie and Livia get way too little screentime (I get that the focus is on him and his time in the Alzer Republic, but come on man)- Once again, our hero refuses to kill the bad guys for whatever reason and even saves the main bad guy (the same guy who beats up Noelle and basically puts an enslavement collar on her) from dieing- Noelle's childhood friend from the last volume just stopped existing i guess (he has like one appearence in the beginning, then he never reappears)All in all, let's hope the next volume gets better. A lot.
