I live in Scotland. Scotland has two seasons - bleak midwinter, and June 6th. This hat is not necessary for June 6th (our one mandated nice day of the year), but for the rest, it's an excellent addition to the winter wardrobe.The hat itself is comfortable and warm, with some good stretch to it for bigger heads, but you're not here for that - you're here for the light.If you live somewhere where there's not a lot of light once the sun goes own - maybe you're somewhere rural, or you live in the sort of block of flats where only 3% of the lighting ever seems to be functional at any given time - this hat is a life-saver. It provides a super-bright illumination, and frees up your hands to allow you to do what you need to be doing in the dark, whether it's fiddling with your keys or trying to find your keys after dropping them, etc. The light itself is removeable to recharge via USB and it seems to hold charge for quite some time when not being used, which is handy.Really helpful, and an absolute must-have for anyone who struggles to fumble their way through the dark.(The light itself has multiple settings too - super bright, not-quite-as-bright, flashing (strobe style) and, randomly, alternating blue and red flashing lights as well. The latter may be of use if you wish to impersonate a police officer* but it's mainly the solid super-bright I've used it with!)(*do not do this, it's not smiled upon by the law!)

Perfect for those dark mornings walking the dog. Feels good and keeps my bold head Warm. You have to detach the led lights from the hat to charge but not an issue to remove and put back though and it seem to last a long time on a charge.

Early morning dog walks before it gets light. This hat is ideal for seeing where my dog has pooed so I can pick it up. Fits ok and seems quite warm. I have no idea how long the light will last but it does the job well.

I liked this woolly hat with a removable light incorporated into it saves having to carry a torch.the hat is machine washable when the light is removed removal of the light is easy.

My dad uses this as his garden is really long and dark or for taking the dog out. Well impressed with it and how bright the light is. Nice quality material and recharges using a tiny usb. Excellent item

The hat was a bit of a funny fit for me, although to be fair I have quite a big head. The rim was fairly tight, but the double layer of wool could be adjusted for a better foot. The light itself is easy to operate and decent brightness. It can be removed to wash the hat and although this is obviously a benefit, it doesn't mean that the light isn't completely secure inside the hat when fitted. It's an okay hat, and okay light, but definite room for improvement.

I Love that it has a thick soft lining. I love that one size really did fit my slim 14 yr old and my long, thick-haired 16-yr old. Also, I love that the light really is bright enough for me to see & find anything at night when walking my dogs. I bought 4, need 2 more for a friend & a neighbor
