I'm a 2x and and in some things an X will work so I thought a 3x size would leave some room for clothing underneath, but that was not the case. The jacket barely fit just over a t-shirt but was a bit tight in the shoulders, and with a pair of Levi's on the pants wouldn't even pull up over my hips (which aren't that large). Material appeared to be mid range durable which would be fine for just a casual rain suit but I wouldn't suggest if for any long term / heavy duty outdoor work in the rain.

I bought this to keep me visible and dry on rainy days. We have had two extremely heavy rains, and I have stayed amazingly dry. Two months into school and the only rain that has reached my skin was around my wrist to elbow, and that was due to waving cars to go and stop. The buttons around the wrist may protect that. Best purchase I could have made so far.

My husband tried this on for the first time and one of the cheap plastic snaps broke immediately. He is 6'2" tall and had to extend this out as far as it could go. If he moves around much, the suspender part falls apart. I only wish this would have happened before I could no longer return it. :( (For some reason my computer will not show me the stars to rate this item, so I am clicking invisible ratings...it should be a 1. If it is any higher it is a mistake.)

I got this for my husband who does traffic safety in ALL kinds of weather. We had gotten some last year from Walmart but they didn’t hold up it work well. These keep him dry and they are good quality. I’d definitely recommend them.
