My one year-old dog loves it, but my three year old dog is still Larry of the water.

The media could not be loaded.  I would compare the build quality of this splash pad to a pool float. The materials and seams are just like a float for a pool, so it seems an apt comparison. The pad comes with a few different options for hook ups but I just screwed the garden hose directly to the splash pad and turned it on. At first, I let the water go full bore and I had 6 to 8 foot water jets. My dog isn't used to those yet. So I closed the valve almost entirely and eventually got them down to about 6". She will hang out a bit and bite at the "sprinklers". I keep her nails trimmed, so no issues with punctures. The base is a nice non slip patterned plastic and it will hold an inch or two of water. Perfect if you don't want kiddie pool depth. It came with a couple attachments, and I may try a quick connect in the future. Also came with some patches....just like old school pool floaties did.All in all, it's great. I thought it would be bigger, but it's plenty big for a single 70 pound dog.It really does need a level surface to perform optimally, but works fine on a very slight incline.

I set this up for my giant doggie who is a Newfound and weighs 145 pounds. She had so much fun opening her mouth to catch the sprays of water. She had so much fun. Fully recommend this item.

Works ok I suppose. The piece that is supposed to fit on the hose to make it easy connect didn’t fit any of the hoses we tried (like 4 different hoses) so the connection leaked the whole time. My dog and friend’s kids loved playing with it!

Buyer beware! Whatever the plastic material it is made of is not safe for humans right out of the package. I bought this a while back but first took it out yesterday to get the dogs a cool down and clean up after a walk. They wouldn't go near it, but that could just be them afraid of it. The roommate thought it looked fun and decided to try it out. Her eyes were burning after the first minute and called it quits. I cleaned up but couldn't get the plastic material smell off me. Woke up this morning with a nose bleed and headache that won't go away. Roommate's eyes are still irritated. Only thing that links the two is that play mat. Does everything else as described perfectly fine. Maybe you need to let it air out and flush it with water for a while first? Don't know, but a product shouldn't make you feel sick.

My Belgian Mal pup and I LOVE this thing! She plays extremely rough and loves to dig in the water and this thing holds up extremely well! Great quality, for a great price, and so much fun together!

I'm pretty happy with this dog splash pad. I have two cairn terriers and a Blue Lacy puppy who absolutely love it. It's easy to put together, easy to clean up after use and it's easy to adjust the level of the water fountain. It would have been even better if there were more water fountain holes though.
