Make sure you have an adequate car charger to power the fast charging.Other than that this product is amazing. It's super sturdy charges quickly.When mounting I removed the radio, slid the bar between the radio and facia then clipped the radio back in place. Once screwed tight it was a showroom finish and much more secure compared to a vent mount.Cons.If you turn your engine off it will continue to grasp your phone forcing you to pull it out. I have a habit now of pressing the open button before turning the engine off.The USB c cable attaches to the part of the mount that swivels meaning if you want to turn your phone sideways you need to have enough flex in your cable. It would be better (but more expensive to manufacture) if the cable attached to the static part and your phone could swivel freely. That way you could hide the cable completely in the cars trim gaps.Overall it's a great product that works well and have let me down

Bought this to replace another make of a similar sort but this one...1. The arms open and close randomly sometimes with a phone in sometimes without2. Had to use the plug in adapter even though my phone shouldn't have needed it, but of course lost it quickly because so small. Without this in charging is very sporadic so have ended up putting phone in then still plugging in, so defeats wireless point.3. it does look quite good and is quite sturdy in the vent itself

Update on above.I gave the device another chance and bought another one on the return of the first. Purely because it still looked like the best one for the price. I was hoping it was jusy a faulty one which I received the first time.The second one I have received works perfectly fine and as it should do. The charging capability is good enough for my phone on the long journeys I travel and holds the device in position with little movement.Would recommend the second time around.Plugged the device in and it all looked good and worked fine for a few minutes. Decided I wanted to move the location of it and when I moved it the cable fell out, I placed it back in and it started smoking and the device no longer worked. The cable was still working but seems the actual device overheated.Looks good and I'm sure it works great for most people but not for me this time.

This seems to charge the phone OK, although it doesn't get much more charge than the phone is using if you use the phone as a satnav. If you dont have the phone running, it does charge.After turning the ignition off the charger will release the phone for about 10 seconds, after that, the charger's power is off and you have to wrestle it free.It works OK, but I am dissapointed.

I bought this to replace a cheaper holder which had broken. This item is much sturdier and holds my Samsung better than the previous one. It automatically opens when it senses my phone and then closes. It also charges better than my old one. So now my phone charges even when using the GPS. Great device, recommended. I should note I am not using the included vent connector as the holder and phone are too heavy for my car vents.
