Nice and Sharp
The media could not be loaded. This was a razor sharp knife that met all expectations. Sliced easily through fruits and vegetables (even squishy tomatoes) and meat. Also appears well-made and built to last, so far. Bears the signature marks of Damascus steel with banding and mottling pattern that presents as a very attractive blade right out of the box, and also bears the Made in Japan stamp right on the blade. Would recommend this knife to any aspiring chef or armchair culinary dabbler.

Stunningly sharp, beautiful, and comfortable to hold kitchen knife..
This knife that is hand-crafted by Japanese bladesmiths far exceeds my expectations. I have owned several mid-priced knives, but none of them come even close to this one in its sharpness, beauty, and most importantly comfort while using it. Now I believe the product description, ".... this Japanese masterpiece knife will last a lifetime".

Very sharp!
Beautiful knife, and wow it's sharp, by far the sharpest knife I have. Hope I can maintain it, because I seriously doubt I could ever put an edge on it like this again...that being said the handle kinda sucks. Its slender, and the shape is nice, but the handle material protrudes the full tang in places and its "pokey". So I had to sand it with 400 grit to make it flush with the metal and now its great. Thats why it gets 4 stars instead of 5.

Now That's a Knife!
I've been looking for this one all my life. So light and precise, and SHARP-holding its edge well after a week of heavy use. This is a precision tool and will up my game.

A dangerous knife....
If you look at the bottom part of blade near the handle you have a VERY SHARP EXPOSED POINT....I cut the tip of my thumb on it....unsafe.

Good knife while it lasted..
Purchased this knife on Nov 8, 2021. I am not a professional chef and was using this knife few times per week. No heavy use at all. In February, it lost it's tip for no reason. I was using it to cut something on a board by using a sharp side of the knife and all of sudden the tip just just stayed on a board. Not a good quality for this amount of money. Was unable to contact the seller.

Balanced
Very easy to hold in hand, doesn't feel front heavy. Very sharp so not much strength is needed. Blade is straight and does not have any heat treating warps and slight bends.
