Lovely rags to riches story of three adopted children
The story is a nice rags to riches story about three young girls growing up in London between the wars. Adopted by a now unfortunately disappeared paleontologist the Fossil children Pauline, Petrova and Posy struggle against poverty to succeed in film and theatre, ballet and... well actually Petrova's not that keen on the arts. A touching and sometimes funny book much enjoyed by my daughter. I hope I've remembered all that right.

Great story for all ages...even adults. Lovely cover.
I bought this book for myself as I loved the cover, it’s such a lovely story about 3 children in an unconventional family. The family are struggling with money, but still want to make sure the children have a good education. There are 2 other books with similar covers which I also bought-Bedknobs and Broomsticks and The Borrowers.
