I've never seen a tool like this rose thorn stripper before . Looking at the pictures I thought how useful it might be. Of course, at this time of the year, I have no roses on stems to try it out on. However, I haven't finished pruning all the rose bushes so I to tried it out in situ. It works perfectly.
