I purchased this to replace my old wire stand that my mom gave me when I was in high school. This stand is much sturdier and I can trust it with my iPad Pro 12 inch. This stand does require assembly but it was very straightforward.The springs that hold down your music are also a lot better than that old wire stand. They are adjustable along the plane of the upright part and have little spring "elbows" that bend to hold a lot of music, if needed. They are also very tight so you could even trust them to hold paper in a bit of wind.

I like the design of this Music Stand. Everything is adjustable: The angle and spread of the legs, the three-tube height goes from very-short to way-tall, and the bookplate can be rotated and tilted an extreme range. It's all steel, with a nice matt finish, screw-locks instead of friction locks, and not too light or too heavy. I don't know yet, but it looks like it will last. Good value.

Very good and strurdy stand for the price. The page holders are a bit thin but overall it's a good buy; fits my needs. In 8 years of cello play, I went through many stands. If you're buying for your kid, get this one instead of the cheaper one on Amazon. Those always frustrated me so much. It's also so easy to put together, it took me 3 minutes. I'm not good at putting things together but this one is just so simple!

This is a decent stand but wouldn't call it "heavy duty". It also has 2 sections on the pole itself. I'd rather have only 1 to adjust. You'll need to adjust at the top (for angle of use), then 2 on the pole, then one at the bottom. But...It IS lightweight and easy to carry & load & it does collapse down short. I knew when I lifted the box that it wasn't going to be as sturdy as the one I was replacing. I had a 1 1/2" filled 3 ring binder on it and it moved a bit, making me tighten it more but thinking how the screw to tighten will be stripped before you know it. Great for light books or sheet music. A nice stand for the price but if you need "heavy duty" you'll want to pay $40-50.

This sturdy stand goes to my music jams. It's light and I carry it about in a large duffle bag that also holds my small instruments. The stand assembles quickly. It will not tip over, and the tubing is narrow enough to accommodate the screw-clamps for accessories. The music ledge is deep enough to hold binders and the stand has spring clips to keep music sheets from blowing away for playing outdoors.

Incredibly flimsy and unstable. A screw needed to hold the top in place was missing. Even after I purchased a screw to secure it, the entire stand was so wobbly and unstable that I was unable to use it.

It's great, light weight, yet heavy duty stand. I often times use violin or guitar to learn the music for Mass (especially before the days I'm scheduled to be cantor) ahead of time and a couple of those books are heavy. I also like the spring loaded wind clips that are installed on it.
