Try these mittens FIRST and you will be impressed!
Best mittens for babies! My daughter in law and I have attempted to find the "perfect" mittens to prevent facial scratching by babies. We have been successful in finding lots of cute infant mittens made by some of the big name baby clothing manufacturers. The big name brand manufacturers' mittens simply do not work well. They are often made with a small elastic band that is supposed to keep the mittens on newborns' hands.I purchased the "Mittens by Nurses Choice because they looked different that others. They also had good customer reviews. Needless to say, these mittens really do work! They are a little thicker than other mittens and actually stay on the baby's hands! My best endorsement is the fact that my daughter in law called and asked me to order another set for her as well as to include as part of baby shower gifts.New moms who try these mittens will be impressed with the quality of them.

Non slip, soft, baby mittens
Those baby mittens you can buy never work, so I would just use socks. I thought these were very similar to socks and was excited to see if they worked. The order was delivered quickly and the mittens did not fall off. They are very soft and have a good stretch to easily slip on babies hand. They are about the same thickness as socks and not nearly as thin as the common baby mittens.

Good mittens, good parents
Newborn babies often scratch their faces, and sometimes wake themselves up at night doing this. Then you feel like a bad parent because your baby's face is scratched up and red. :( These newborn mittens were a good price, and didn't fall off the baby's wrist like some other brands we tried. They are thick sock-like material with stretch to them. Comfortable, and roomy enough for our baby's long fingers. You'll want to clean baby's hands and let them air out, change the mittens frequently because babies chew on the mittens and that can create stinky hands. Plus it's good for their hands to be exposed so they can learn about their environment in tactile ways. We stopped needing mittens at about 7- 8 weeks. I wish the hospital gave these mittens out to new parents.

Perfect for petite/small babies!
I never write reviews on ANYTHING I buy but this purchase deserves it! My baby girl was 5 lbs 11 oz when she was born and as you can imagine nothing fits her little hands. She was a master at getting them out of every single mitt I had purchase or they would just fall off as soon as you put them on. The cinched wrist on these make them stay on so much better than any other mitt we’ve tried. Now mind you they are huge compared to her little hands but so far she keeps them on so much better! We occasionally have to put them back on throughout the day but it’s not every 15 minutes! Couldn’t recommend them more for babies that are smaller!

Warm but sheds
These are very nice and warm mittens for babies. My 7 week old wears them just fine. I like how they are a thicker material and keep his little hands warm, I use them mainly to keep his hands warm. One con is that they “shed” and so when you take them off you need to clean all the pieces off the babies hand.

Better than socks, would buy again
Like others who buy baby mittens, I have a newborn who insists on trying to claw out his eyeballs. These mittens have mitigated his efforts and I love that he can't scratch his little face easily.I file down his tiny talons and he sticks his finger in his eye. I put socks on his hands and he squirms out of them in 20 minutes or fewer. I apply these "kitten mittens" and while he does flap me in my face, no damage occurs. Finally I can be farther than arm's reach and know that my babe isn't injuring himself! These mittens stay on better than socks, and I like the way they look. Conveniently I have been buying mostly white baby things (for easy laundering), so these mittens work with everything he owns. Having six pairs is perfect for us.

Tiny and short lived
I thought I would need these for the hospital and winter etc but hardly ever used them. They are sooooo tiny that a newborn will only get the chance to wear them maybe once or twice before they're too small. You definitely only need one pair, maybe two... this big bag was excessive and wasteful for one baby
