not quite hot enough for linen, but otherwise quite functional
Set to maximum temperature, the soleplate settles to a temperature of about 380F, adequate for cotton, but not quite hot enough for linens. But when first turned on and set to maximum, the soleplate temperature can go as high as 450F, but after the thermostat kicks in, the temperature will oscillate around 380F and eventually settle around that temperature. The soleplate is 4 inches wide at widest point and 7 inches long. On the positive side, turned on from cold, the iron will very quickly reach the set temperature - in less than 30 seconds. Moreover, turning the dial all the way to its lowest setting appears to turn the iron off, so there's no need to unplug it (a feature that seems to be missing from most irons, at any price point). You can see the water level in the tank. The power cord is long and the strain relief at the iron looks functional, as it swivels very freely (not sure how that is achieved from an engineering standpoint).

Good iron, reasonable price
This is a good little iron. It heats up and steams reliably every time, keeps steaming as long as I need it to, and although it is pretty lightweight, it does the job of just standard ironing of my work pants efficiently. I bought this iron to replace a Black and Decker iron that had driven me crazy for a year or more. I've given up on the name brands like B&D and Hamilton Beach because the last several I've bought never worked the way they should. The last one would heat up and steam for a while, but usually by the second pair of pants it stopped steaming and was just lukewarm, and it was like this from the time it was new. This little iron does what I want it to do and keeps doing it. I've had it for several months now, and it is still doing what it is supposed to do. I am happy with it and I do recommend it.

Not a huge fan of this iron
I really miss my old iron but can’t seem to find it so I bought this cheap one until I can go through the whole garage. The dial is very “loose” meaning just a punt every time I go to grab the handle, my knuckles move the dial. At least you can hear the dial move and can quickly change it back. I wasn’t liking the steam/spray feature so I ended up just using a spay bottle. The spray feature didn’t seem to spay where I wanted it and I really didn’t notice steam coming out like my old iron. I would end up spraying the area I wanted by holding the iron point side down and press the spray button. This iron is very light weight so you may have to put some weight into pressing depending on the fabric or end result.

The little iron that could
I read the reviews and at first was kind of iffy but I’m glad that I tried for myself. Heats up fast nice and light weight for someone with carpal tunnel that is a plus, Nice and easy to clean I had got heat bond stuck to it right off the bat.All in all I highly recommend.

Love this light weight basic but fancy iron
I LOVE THIS IRON!!! it was cheap, basic but flashy. And it's small but big enough to do big jobs. I use it for everything. It was supposed to just be for my sewing room but I have found that I can use it for all sorts of crafts. And bonus it gets your clothes nice and warm in the morning... Lol

ALL PURPOSE IRON
Here's a bargain! This iron truly fits the bill. Lightweight, easy to fill and not only has a steam setting, but can be used as a steamer to remove wrinkles.
