I have been using this for 2 month , when the product delivered I was not able to open the sections easily it was too tight to open, then I loosen the screw with screw driver to access the section. Then it become easy to open.First month: I stored tempering items jeera and channa dal, soon it started capturing the fungus on jeera and dal. So big no to any solid items, as it is wood it will easily capture the moisture.Second month: Am using it for turmeric and salt. Now I feel the accessibility of the sections were little complex as these were powders it will spill on the counter top, moreover when it comes salt and turmeric those were main ingredients in our kitchen we always prefer handy box to use.If you are looking for kitchen use then my recommendation is to go for any airtight containers to keep it fresh and handy.
