Brilliant & effective concept with an adorable execution
After sanding, staining, and polyurethaning the hardwood floor in the kitchen, I didn't want the oven's or refrigerator's harsh metal feet gouging divots in them. These booties work perfectly as is and are well worth the small cost, but using them on my dining room set (in brown) I discovered that just like human socks, they will slouch after enough scooting on the floor.A small square of heavy duty double-sided tape inside the bootie solves this minor issue while still making it easy to pull them off, toss the tape, and give them a quick wash in the washing machine if needed. They hold up perfectly in the wash as advertised.I've had to pull the ancient oven out from it's custom cubby to clean and repair it a couple of times and these booties have protected the freshly finished hardwood floors every time. The black blends with the kitchen appliances while the brown version perfectly camouflages with the bronze-coated steel legs.(apologies for the dirty floors in the photos; don't let that detract from the ingenuity and effectiveness of the product!)

VERY CLEVER PRODUCT/WORKS GREAT
After being frustrated for years with chair leg protectors that stick on with sticky pads, or felt pads that glue on, or pads that slip on but wouldn't stay in place, I did a serious Google search and found these Chair Leg Hardwood Floor Protectors from NancyProtectz. I bought the small black ones about 18 months ago and they have been great. They are easy to slip onto the chair legs because they have quite a bit of stretch to the "socks". They stay in place reasonably well because of the rubber grips on the inside of the socks. We have them on our wood kitchen chairs with rectangle legs as well as our bar stools with round metal legs all of which are on our kitchen hard wood floors. These slide well on the wood floors making it easy to move chairs and bar stools around. After several months of use, a few will start to pull down, but they are easily slid back into place. After more than a year of use, they had picked up considerable "dust bunnies" so I decided to remove the socks and run them through our washer; they turned out great and still look and work like new. I was amazed at how they show zero wear especially on the bottoms where they slide on the floors. They would probably work well for outdoor patios with stone or concrete but they probably won't slide as well and I'm sure they would wear through quicker. I highly recommend these for chair legs or bar stool legs that sit on hard wood floors. A very high quality and innovative product.

Not perfect, but so much better than anything else!
I have been on a 10 year quest to find something that will protect my hardwood floors without having to be replaced every three weeks, and these chair socks are the closest I've gotten to the solution! I have wood floors, wood kitchen chairs, and 4 kids who truly do not understand the concept of picking a chair up (or even picking up your weight off of it) when you want to scoot it in or out. I started off with the stick-on felt pads, but those only stay on for a few weeks at most. I then went through a series of nail-in felt pads. Those work great - they stay in and the felt is nice and cushy - but only for a few months. After that, the felt gets worn down and the plastic the felt is attached to starts rubbing against the floor. They are replaceable, but once you've done that 5 or 6 times (again, 10 year quest), the hole where you nail the pad into the chair starts to get bigger, so they don't stay on as well and tend to fall out on the rare occasion that someone does actually lift up a chair off the ground.About 6 months ago, I tried the chair socks. They are soft and protect my floor, and so far all the constant sliding around has not made them worn. I assume that will happen eventually but already they are lasting longer than the nail-in felt pads. Why are they not perfect? Because after about a month they seem to lose some of their elasticity and don't stay on. It's kind of like socks on a baby, they are just always coming off. But unlike the felt pads, with these if they come off you can just put them right back on. I first put new nail-in felt pads on all the chair legs and put the chair socks over those - that way when a sock falls off, the felt pad is there to protect the floor until I can put it back on. Chasing chair socks all over the kitchen floor is annoying, but not as annoying as scratches on my hardwood.Another bonus that a visiting friend and parent of a baby noticed: unlike the felt pads, they chair socks are not choking hazards when they fall of the chairs!UPDATE: Having had these for about 18 months, I would say they have about a 12 month useful life. After that, the elastic is stretched out enough that they come off almost every day. Still functional when on the chairs, but too high maintenance to be worthwhile. For me though, these are the best solution i've found so I plan to just by a new set once a year.

These are great
These fit well, are easy to clean and glide gently over the floor when moving the chairs. They don;t always stay on but it is easy to get them back on.

These are just Okay
These look great but they are starting to fall apart on the bottoms from moving on the floor! I’m very disappointed! Please think twice before you buy them!

Good padding
The socks do slip off if the chairs get a lot of use.. Now I glue a felt pad to the leg bottom, then glue the inside of the sock to the pad. Secure with an elastic and they last about two years

Chairs glide easily on hardwood or tile
Chairs are so easy to move now on my tile floor. Bought more for my sister and she likes them too for her hardwood floors. Simple to put on. Effective. What more is there to say? They work. As for appearance…yeah, you notice them but so what?

They fit the modern chairs that have very thin legs.
Work wonderful! Very good at protecting floors. Very good at decreasing noise, especially in poorly sound proof homes.

Works Great!!!
Earlier this year a bought a tray table for my living room. It had no protection on the legs, and having a hard wood floor I was fearful of scratching it. When I discovered these protective socks in the Xtra Small size, I took a chance. Very easy to install, and doesn't scratch the floor. They have been on for a few weeks now, and they haven't come loose at all. Very happy with this purchase.

A perfect solution for me!
I love these socks...I just wish they weren’t so expensive. I first ordered the for my chairs when we renovated our kitchen and put in hardwood floors. That was 5 years ago, and most of them are still going strong. I’ve had to replace around 3 individual socks as a small hole was beginning to wear through and I didn’t want to chance scratching the floors. I just received 2 new packages a few days ago and used 3 of the socks in one of the packages as replacements. I love them because they are so easy to wash, which I do about two or three times a year. I just throw them in a dollar store bought mesh bag and put them in the wash, then put them in a cool/ warm dryer. I find they stay on my chairs really well, only needing the occasional adjustment. In years past, I’ve used those felt stick on pads and never liked them much because they either slid off or wore off, and before I’d realized it, I was sliding the chairs across the floor with one chair leg unprotected.I bought the size XS, in brown, for my 1” chair legs. I have size S, in black, for my 1 3/4” island stools.
