Just what I was looking for!
Was able to duplicate a favorite dish from a Chinese restaurant that is no longer open. And much easier than using fermented black beans. Win win!!!

Perfect for my take on Mapo Tofu
I use this for making Mapo Tofu and while it's probably not as authentic as some other black bean sauces, it's pretty good. I end up buying a few bottles and keeping them on hand since my family loves Mapo Tofu and I end up using a lot.

Versatile sauce
Think Kitchen Bouquet. I use this stuff with that 3 Dragons orange teriyaki glaze. Together, about 3:1 glaze-to-blabckbean ratio, gives a great blend of savory, sweet and sour. I put it in homemade spaghetti sauce, meatloaf, green pepper steak, stuff like that.

The product arrived defective and unusable; the safety seal was up, and the bottle was open. Neither Amazon nor the merchant offered any redress; both blamed the other, and I was left out of money with no product or replacement. Do not order from this merchant.
