Good Timely Sourcing and Selling Guide
These interesting, cash strapped times prompted me to download the ebook, "Garage Sale Flipper: How to Find Treasures at Thrift Stores, Garage, Yard & Estate Sales & Resell Online for Profit", by Lawrence Jacobson. The older you get, it just makes sense to clean out and reorganize closets, the basement, and the garage while making some money at the same time. And who doesn't enjoy a garage sale or flea market? While I have dabbled in selling of "my stuff" online before, I wanted a quick refresher. This ebook contains a good, comprehensive overview and covers some item sources and tips that I had not considered before. For instance, it contains an interesting list of "odd things to sell online". Empty boxes-- Who knew? This ebook is a down and dirty, yet comprehensive overview for those looking to get started sourcing and selling used items locally and online. But it also appeals to those of us already selling and looking to expand their efforts or profitability.I felt there was some info in the book that could use clarification or some additional detail. Paypal and Ebay have parted ways, and are no longer as integrated as they once were. Ebay's relatively new managed payment system probably deserved a mention. And Etsy has rules concerning an item's age, but there are ways around it in certain categories-- something else to research and consider.I recommend this well-written, very timely guide, and it certainly covers a lot of ground and contains good tips!

Creating a side hustle for extra income
The book, Garage Sale Flipper, was a surprisingly detailed introduction to the world of online resale; glancing at the simple table of contents did not prepare me for such depth. Although the online sales world changes rapidly these days, this book still gave enough baseline information to see a potential seller through start to finish. Selling online is truly a test of diligence and patience. It covered which items might be good options for flipping, where to find and sell those items, as well as a “reality check” for those thinking they might become rich in such a venture. It also talked about writing item descriptions, marketing to the right people, photographs, customer service support, scams, and shipping costs. Going in, one might think that flipping a sales item is easy- and doing one or two pieces is likely easy- but creating an online presence for a stable monthly additional income, means taking it more seriously. But all of that is just the tip of the iceberg. If you're truly interested in creating a side hustle to bring in extra income, this book will likely be a valuable purchase. While some of it was repetitive, it works since most people forget what they read anyway. This book reminds people to keep it simple, and not over complicate the process, thus creating a balance between work and profit.Alexandra- author of “Bottoms Up”

Good advice
I always searched online for a list of items that are good to sell. Never could find the answer I was looking for. This book gave me good ideas on what to sell. The problem I have is this, I have a lot of stuff I collected over the years and even bought storage units from storage auctions. I sell once in a while. But I haven't mastered it yet. It doesn't mean you can't. I am still learning. I highly recommend you read this book.

Thorough
Garage Sale Flipper – How to Find Treasures at Thrift Stores, Garage, Yard & Estate Sales & Resell Online for Profit!: Guide for Making Money with Antiques, Clothing, Toys, Collectibles, and More! Kindle Editionby Lawrence Jacobson (Author) Format: Kindle Edition is a long, long title, but accordingly needed for the reader to understand what he or she is getting into. The author’s intro begins with the note that this book is about side income, not for a full-time job. This immediately sets the reader up to understanding the gist of the book. My favorite: there is a narrative, the author’s background, the getting to this business be it a side one. Then the book is divided into sections, like “What is a Flipper” and “How do Flippers Make Money.” Appropriately, the author goes into the legalities of flipping with, “Is It Legal?” He takes us through the pieces of setting up and where to access the inventory and how to advertise. Every single detail is covered such as where to find the inventory and how to remake it. It’s hilarious but he even lists things you wouldn’t have thought of to sell online. Something I never thought of, but the author discusses return policies.
