There is abundant insight available in this book.
I have the right background to evaluate this book. I have degrees in molecular biology/biochemistry, a medical doctorate, a master's in theology, and I am working on a PsyD with only my dissertation remaining. The authors successfully reveal the science behind the teachings found in the Bible regarding the restoration of the whole of a person. If I were to have dinner with the authors I would want to discuss some fine points but when wouldn't one? The science is presented in a non-overwhelming way, yet effectively, and this knowledge is useful for growing spiritually. I am sure I will be using principles in this book in my retirement career as a Christianity-based psychologist.

Life-changing!
The concepts in this book have truly changed my spiritual life and my physical health. How amazing to realize the Bible passages on health are true in a literal way, and not just metaphorical way. Addressing spiritual health in tandem with physical health was a missing link for me!

Not like in the Bible
In chapter 3 there's an exercise for deliverance from demons that are basically inherited. There's a list of mental and physical ailments that you "journal" about for any that apply, pray to be shown when you first started experiencing them and then research your ancestry for the same conditions. Then you repent of and renounce these conditions for yourself and family and simply tell the demons to go away and not come back. For me that would mean repenting of things like high blood-pressure so, maybe I'm just supposed to renouce physical ailments? But where the cart really went off the track for me was when it said to replace the affliction with a positive affirmation and repeat it each day, e.g., "My blood-pressure is healthy". In the Bible deliverance from demons was different; Jesus gave a command and they were gone. Maybe things are different in the church age. I was hoping to learn that from the author because he has a lot of experience and maybe that comes later in the book but, after that I only skimmed the rest of it.
