I read a lot of reviews saying that these ran super small, so I ordered half a size up. Then I ended up exchanging them for my true size because they were too large. I think it must depend on the width of your foot, and specifically your forefoot, because they do narrow quite a bit at the toe. But I have a narrow foot anyway, and have a little extra room in my regular size. I ordered the dark taupe color and it's very pretty, not quite as warm a tone as the one pictured. The leather is soft, and the sole is comfortable right from the start. I'm very happy with my purchase!

These are the exact opposite of my Frye boots. Soft leather, and lightweight. I have very narrow feet, so these are a tiny bit wide, but with my plantar fasciitis insole, they are perfect. Size is accurate, comfortable fit, color will go with everything, I know I’m going to enjoy wearing these.

I love these shoes. I ended up buying them through the Frye website since they had a $25 coupon when you sign up for email updates. In any case, I thought I would review them here. I had previously purchased the Melanie t-strap slip-on in Cognac, it's a beautiful color, and exactly what I was looking for at the time. I liked those so much that I wanted to order the black Melanie slip on, and I'm glad I did. They are kind of pricey but they are a good quality shoe. They are a bit narrow, but I was expecting that so I ordered half size up. I would definitely buy these again (hopefully they last long and I don't have to buy them again anytime soon).

Very cute, in the Gold metallic(which Frye calls Gunmetal, and it's stamped 'Gunmetal' on the box)! Also, very painful at first few tries. I got these in my usual size, 8.5, but there is not much room in the toes, which ended up being very painful after standing/walking for 20 minutes. Then I tried a no-show sock, which made them feel tighter, but also helped stretch them out a bit. They dug into the back of my heel, at the top edge, which caused red marks, and my feet were throbbing for at least an hour afterwards. I almost just gave them to my daughter, who is usually a size 8. They weren't as tight on her, but she said they weren't comfortable, either. The main problem with this shoe is the narrow AND flat part of the tip of the toes. I've had this problem with Fryes before and had to have the toe area stretched. The suede, with leather lining on this shoe is thin enough that it will stretch a bit. I planned on wearing them without a sock, but my feet stick to the insole so much that it's uncomfortable. I found that cutting off the front/toe area of an old nylon trouser sock, to cover just the toes and ball of the foot, made all the difference! Now I can wear them. I would say if you have a wide foot at all(mine is regular width, and thin) to go up a half size, maybe even a whole size. These shoes have a small amount of cushioning, with minimal to zero arch support. My ankles do turn inward while standing in these. I wouldn't want to wear them standing or walking for very long periods of time. I got an exceptional deal on these, sold as overstock, but they weren't indicated that they were not first quality. I don't consider the ones I got First Quality, based on the unequal amount of rubber on the bumper of the back portion of the shoe. If I had paid more than $50, I would have returned them. But I can live with it for the price. See pics. These were made in China, and do have the Frye logo stamped on the outside by the heel.

This is a great quality leather slip on sneaker. I own two pairs. One in grey and the other in cognac. I like both a lot. I will note that the grey is more of a taupe color with a lot of brown. Wish it were more grey, but I still decided to keep, because these look so nice, and are great quality. I am giving them 4 out of 5 stars, because when I take these off the liner comes out. That is annoying. Also, the toe is pretty pointed. That does give a bit less of a casual look and makes them slightly less comfortable.. Quality and look are very sharp though, so I would still recommend.

The shoes are very comfortable and look good. I could walk in these shoes all day. But they DO NOT LAST. I have purchased several pair of these shoes and in 6 months or less you could see the wear and tear. Rubber soles coming unattached from the upper Too expensive to have to purchase a new pair every 6 months

Very comfortable right out of the box. Not sure if they are authentic though? This the third pair of this style of shoes that I've purchased, and the first time they were comfortable right out of the box. They were also delivered in a plain package without frye advertising... for the price and comfort, I'm happy to keep, but they might be counterfeit.

Love these slip ons. Soft leather that is pliable and comfortable. Not much arch support so will probably put in an insert. Lots of room for the insert as they are quite wide and roomier than I expected. Great walking shoes and comfortable from first wearing. Will purchase another pair in black. I purchased the antique grey which is really a taupe however I love the colour. EDIT Picture looks like stains on the leather but there are no stains. Just the different natural shades of the leather.

Great for casual wear. Very soft leather. Colour as expected. Good quality
