Product works exactly as expected. I cannot understand why people would pay over $80 for name brand version of this. Screws right into the tow hook, and there is quite a lot of customization as to wheel you screw the base onto. Meaning it can be centered, or offset up/down side to side. Feels pretty solid, I don't think it will spin or twist in the wind.The one thing that took a few seconds to figure out, there are 4 black caps that go over the 4 plate screws on the outside. You have to pop the black caps in half, screw through one-half then snap the cap over the screw head. I figured stating the obvious here might save someone a few minutes when they install theirs. Also, do NOT put the license plate on before you mount the entire bracket to the car, again 100% obvious, but this may save someone a few minutes of their time.Again, 100% satisfied with the product. Feels solid, I'm not worried about my plate sagging due to the wind on the highway. It does exactly what it is supposed to do, hold a license plate on my car. Does the job just as well as other products priced 3x higher. I can't for the life of me understand why you wouldn't buy this over the name brand brackets, since it does the exact same thing just as well.

The quality of the parts are good - the black finish seems like it will hold up well over time. The hardware is good quality also, being stainless steel. As mentioned before, the installation instructions could be better, but there aren't that many parts so it was easy to install despite that.My biggest complaint was that the supplied tool (T25 torx key) was not the correct one for any of the hardware. You will need the following tools in order to install this properly: 3/4" socket or wrench for the, 5/32 hex key, T30 torx bit, and a phillips head screwdriver. I had all of these tools already, but some of the proper tools are not all that common, especially the torx bit.Overall, it was a good purchase. The plate is highly adjustable, so you are sure to get your plate in the spot you want, and I am confident that it is robust enough to withstand some abuse. I wouldn't at all be afraid to go through a car wash with this thing. This would have been 5 stars if only the instructions were better and the included tool was correct.

I ordered this to replace a cheaper version from another company. It was really easy. Unlike my last mount kit, the bolt didn't get stripped and it is firmly held.I love it that you can angle the license plate away from the car and that it will hold fast.

Awesome deal for this bracket mount. Very easy installation and looks great. Works perfectly with the 2021 Crosstrek and stits comfortably about 1-2 inches from the front bumper to prevent scratches, but doesn't look awkward.

Worked out good! It actually doesn’t fit my Forester XT, the bolt was a little short so the license plate would rub on my bumper. It was an easy fix though. A quick trip to Home Depot for a steel spacer and a longer Allen screw and the plate holder works fine. Very inexpensive compared to others and you get the same exact look!

I had read that it sticks out too much and that it's difficult to put on but I did not find much trouble with it. Just think of it as stacking bowls and there's only one way to put it together. There are very many variations of placing the frame on the bar and you can turn it to your liking. I was able to get it about .5 cm away from the car and it only sticks out about an inch. It is very sturdy and does not bend or move while driving.

Most of the screws did not thread correctly and sprinkled the pavement with metal shavings. Cheaply constructed is an understatement. With the few screws that did thread I managed to get the mounting plate on and it was very easy to manipulate so I doubt the license plate would stay straight while driving. Into the trash it went. Save your money and buy one from a reputable company.
