Race Face Ride Mountain Bike Seat Post

This works really well. I've got a few bikes, and it's amazing how much the seatpost diameters vary. I was having trouble with my old seat post slipping down. The old one is nearly .1mm smaller in diameter than this one, which has pretty minimal sliding clearance - i.e. it's pretty much a perfect fit. I mainly bought it because I really like the 2-bolt adjustment, but as a bonus it fixes the slip problem and looks better to boot.

Excellent value and quality. I have one on a Specialized Roll, one on a Surly Krampus, and another on a Pugsley. No regrets.

Age I've aged, my geometry has changed. So I no longer was comfortable with the road bike. I looked it over, and decided that a lower profile seat post was what I needed. I cut 60 mm off this post, because my bottle mounts prevented it from dropping far enough. The I tried it facing both ways, to help me decide which is best. I gotta say that it takes 4 hands to get it assembled the first time. But adjusting it on a ride was pretty easy after that. I'd loosen the seat post clamp, rotate the seat 90° (make sure the seatpost is lightly lubed), and then adjust the seat angle. I'd loosen one screw and tighten the other the same amount. The notchless design made gradual adjustment easy, and I was able to dial in exactly the seat angle that I need. The improvement in ride comfort is significant. I no longer slide on the seat, and my pedal stoke is better. I am using a SpiderFlex seat. Very satisfied after the first 40 km ride after installing the seat post. Several rides later, the ride improvement is clear.

I just installed this on my 2000 Kona Fire Mountain bike with a 27.2mm seat post. I'm 6'1" and had plenty of room to adjust the post. I was also able to set the angle of my seat properly. Durability seems good and parts were easy to install. I didn't scratch it at all. My old post got stuck so I had to use a plumbers wrench to get it off. I used a 31.8mm clamp with this.

Awesome seatpost. Well done as you can expect from raceface. I buyed for my hard tail, it was the last complement that i need to complete my bike components wich all are from raceface. Good price fro a seatpost. I be riding this for a month aggressively and i had mo issues. Im 5,8 and weight 174 pounds, had no complains that all. Highly recomend this product.

Quality seatpost for a fair price, if you need one you can trust and you don't care about fancy features or ultra lightweight this is a good option. Definitely a step up from a cheap no name or Kalloy.I'd rate it 5 stars if the head design wasn't an archaic two bolt design - makes mounting the seat a pain. The angle of the front bolt also makes it tough to get some allen keys in there for more than a half turn.

The seat post weighs 310 grams uncut and was a perfect fit in my department store hybrid bike. The adjustment for the seat takes some getting used to, but the 2 bolts seem easy to adjustment than the cheap department store bike seat possts. The seat post might be aluminum, but it is still quite heavy.

It has been over a year now and this post is still holding strong. There are no signs of rust. It has supported my weight just fine and does not slip during my rides. It may be a little heavier than some other brands, but I am not concerned about the weight as I ride as a hobby and not a profession. Plus, the few extra ounces it adds just goes to strengthen my legs more. This has been a good replacement post.

Very good fit and very well finished too. A quality seat post and it seems very sturdy, the tiny disadvantage is it's weight as I use it on my road bike but I think this is a mb seat post generally. Still very good price point though!
