better than the classics by Bob Rotella - because it has concrete advice that works
Retired in June 2014 and spent all my time beating balls at the range and watching my scores going up over the following 3 months. The routines in this book are not ethereal truisms but straightforward advice that works - I put on my game face no matter what, focus on the target, close out the swing thoughts and without any mechanical lessons lowered my scores almost immediately. - saved 25 euros a day on driving range balls. Works well with the books by Pia Nilsson and Lynn Marriot - which outline a practice regime that is much more effective than the scrape and hit most of us waste our time on. UPDATE November 30th 2014 - shot my best round ever 79 - on a course with a 130 slope rating - shooting in the mid 80s vs the mid 90s just a month ago⛳️⛳️⛳️UPDATE AUGUST 2015 - won the seniors tournament at my local club with another round of 79 -using a lot from this book but also supplemented with 10 Minute Toughness by Jason Selk - also well worth the money.

!!!!!
This book has a very interesting approach in terms of its writing style. It's basically 186 pages of the author yelling at you on how to be a better golfer, I don't think I've ever read a book with so many exclamation points! Especially one dealing with golf instruction. The author does do a good job of building up to the techniques he addresses but then falls a little flat with the information provided in an almost anticlimactic manner. If you respond to this type of writing and coaching then this book would be great for you, but if you're more of a calm, focused, Zen type golfer then look elsewhere like Red Golf Blue Golf. I find the more amped up I get when I play the harder I swing which never turns out well.

Structure your mind
Great read to organize all of the things you know you should do but didn't know how to think about them or going about doing them.

Mental Golf
Zipped through this book. So much good data on the mental game I bought a hard copy so I could make notes and use it as a reference. Will see if the practice guidelines help out.

One of the best golf psychology books I've read. As a golf professional I've read a lot of golf books and this book was by far the most helpful, with lots of ideas on becoming "Golf Tough". I would recommend it to golfers of all levels.

Really good but requires a great deal of dedication and commitment
This is a no nonsense book that gives a unique approach to golf and can really help you to improve your game if followed, as it addresses the mental and practice side of the game and pulls no punches. Really good but requires a great deal of dedication and commitment.

Very enjoyable
It was a good book and there was a lot to think about in it.I like the way you start talking about skills tests to improve your game and to think about what you're doing when you are practicing.
