Imperious
I always assumed Maine Road was the pinnacle of early Oasis, and that Knebworth was somewhat over-mythicised. But I stand corrected. The documentary you can take or leave, but the two nights themselves, presented here in full - absolutely outstanding. The picture and sound on the blu-ray is crisp and clear, everything sounds massive as it should and all members are on good form. While Liam naturally dominates, the band are military-tight. And if there was ever any question that Alan White was the perfect drummer for Oasis, it is emphatically answered here. The whole gig (both nights) is impressive, but for me the opening 8-9 songs are just untouchable. The classic 1995/96 setlist is peppered with the likes of Columbia (a swaggering wall of noise opener) and Slide Away (perhaps THE prime example of Gallagher Jnr’s impassioned delivery), and further highlights include storming renditions of Supersonic, Hello and Morning Glory. The energy barely drops, albeit there’s an inevitable sag at points during the second half. Round Are Way, Whatever and I Am The Walrus all lend to the party atmosphere nicely, but are unsurprisingly eclipsed by the emotional heavyweights (Cast No Shadow, Live Forever, Champagne Supernova) while the band’s biggest songs - Wonderwall and Don’t Look Back in Anger - tower in such mammoth settings. As mentioned excessively throughout the documentary, there were 125,000 at each night and it’s both joyous and surprisingly emotional to see everyone so responsive and in the moment throughout, which sadly at odds with the technology driven culture of today. An excellent release and a must for an Oasis fan.

Wow. Something special.
This is how live music should be. I can’t proclaim to be the worlds biggest oasis fan but they’ve so many good songs that this was hard to ignore. Possibly the biggest band in the world at the time, playing in the UK’s best music venue, at the peak of their popularity. I figured this was a must have. The recording is excellent, someone obviously intended for this to be released but why it’s taken so long is lost on me. The vocals are clear and centred, the stereo mix is great and there’s a good amount of crowd to be heard without it ever drowning the music out. You could close your eyes and almost be there. Almost. The pressing itself is lovely and the presentation is really nice, with each sleeve resembling parts of the gig ticket.I got this on pre order at £35 and I think it’s only going to go up in value. Stop reading this and press buy.

Great record of a landmark weekend
I was at Knebworth in August 1996, and we were aware at the time that the event was being filmed. 25 years later, we finally get to see it.The film is worth watching - it captures things from the perspective of the people who went, and tried to get tickets to go. At times this feels a bit contrived, and a narrator might have given the gigs more context. It would have been interesting to look at how at the time it seemed like an unbeatable triumph - the moment when Britpop had conquered everything, but in hindsight this was the moment when Britpop also began its steep and rapid descent.Something the film also suffers from at times is the same for a lot of documentaries of its type - an overuse of concert footage that has been through a high grain filter. It takes the viewer out of the moment, and it is used repeatedly during the documentary. This is much less of an issue with the concert footage itself - the picture and sound quality are really impressive, and the real surprise takeaway 25 years on is just how good Oasis sounded that weekend. A band at the top of their game, and an important record of a landmark event in British music.

Greatest gig I had the fortune to attend
What a day!Throughly loved the chance to relive the greatest day of my youth, in fact it stirred a couple of memories that had me a bit emotional by the end. But Oasis were without doubt the band of my generation. And back then you could only live and breathe these sort of occasions as there wasn't phones and social media back then. So to have the opportunity to revisit this was immense.

Some Might Say this is the best live DVD / Blu Ray you will buy this year!
Every generation has a gig that they were either at or they wished they were at, for my generation this was that gig. This is Oasis in all their glorious best, at the height of their careers, playing to thousands at Knebworth Park just a few weeks after the feel-good-factor of Euro '96. What a time, what a band, and what a performance!

Christmas gift
Bought for Grandson. Excellent album was on his list for Christmas. I'm sure he will enjoy adding this to his recent vinyl collection.

Treasures that should be collected🤩
Oasis is one of my favorite rock bands, it is one of the pinnacles of rock music. This Blu-ray disc is great, the dreamy production is fascinating.💐

Oasis at their very Best!
What a night this was! I attended on the second evening 11th August 1996. From the moment we walked through the gate , you could feel the electricity , I knew I was in for a special night. And so it was… waited a long time for this on vinyl, triple album , good pressing and nicely presented. It’s the music you are here for , this was Liam at his skulking arrogant brilliant best, hands clasped behind his back playing to the crowd . Fantastic memories . If you are an Oasis fan this is a must , don’t hesitate and buy it now , these won’t last new,be paying double next year for a used one.Love it , cheers

Están sus mejores canciones Some might say, Hello, Roll with it, Whatever, Wonderwall, The masterplan, Don't look back in Anger, Live forever, Champagne supernova y acaban con I am the walrus de los Beatles. Las cinco estrellas no son suficientes. Uno de los mejores conciertos de la historia, sin lugar a dudas.
