I have no idea how many meat thermometers we have been through in the last few years. Dozens maybe. I have melted some, got steam in others, overcooked because they were so slow to read…. Not this one! Literally just open to turn on, stab the meat and wait like 5 seconds. Bam done. Super easy to read too.Only downside is when you first get it, you have to open the back, unwrap the battery and put it back. When I did this, the silicone protector came out and it was difficult to put back.

i really like the product, but there are the tiniest little screws you have to remove to put in the batteries and they don't give you a tiny screwdriver. i probably gouged out the Xs in the screws trying to use the regular sized screwdriver I had on hand. I appreciate them wanting to make a durable product (though i still don't get why a instant read thermometer *needs* a screwed-in battery cover), but at least include a rinkydink screw driver to fit. honestly would have likely gone with a different thermometer if i had noticed the screws before because again it just seems like an unnecessary feature for the product.

I bought this thermometer two yrs. ago and use it almost every day. This is the best thermometer I have ever owned and I've been through a lot of them. Buy it u won't go wrong.

I've had a few meat thermometer's and most of them have annoying features. This one turns on when you unfold it reads the temperature decently fast and turns off if you fold it back. It also turns off after a few minutes interval. The best part is it doesn't beep or make any sound!!! I love it!

Bought this because it was on sale and needed a quick read for making caramels and other desserts. First of all the fact you have to turn it to turn it on really sucks considering sometimes I have to keep whisking with one hand and don't have time to close it and open it again because it shut off when I didn't use it for a couple seconds. Next is much simpler, barely got 10 or so uses out of it before it stopped working. Had it too long to be able to return it. Cheap tool, ide advise spending a bit more on something better.

The media could not be loaded.  Wanted something simple. No extra button for unnecessary reasons. Just them internal temp. Easy to use. Open and it turns on. Close to turn off. Definitely remember to unwrap the battery first... which I didn't do at first and was frustrated. But duh lol wrap batteries and wha la works.
