Great (low dimmed) lights
Considering that they’re 2 watt bulbs, theyre bright enough to create a dim warm ambiance on our patio. They’re so easy to install (hammer and nails or screw driver / drill, your choice), the solar charge / auto on feature is great. But the 5 star really is due to the fact that the bulbs are not glass, but plastic covered. Incredible. We live on the beach and it can get a bit windy, and I never have to worry about shattered glass. I’ll revisit this review after a few months of sun exposure / impact on the plastic bulb covers’ transparency.9-month Review: I've had these installed on our patio for 9 months now. They've withstood wind, rain, and the scorching summer heat (50C or 122F) and under direct sunlight. Even though I'm quite impressed with the durability, I wish they would be just a LITTLE bit brighter, especially when it comes to evening BBQs. One thing that helped was wiping down the bulbs after numerous sandstorms (as well as the solar panel). With that aside, this is definitely an amazing product for what it's intended for (as it's name describes: ambience). No change to my original 5 stars.

Great led lights
I wanted something low maintenance that didn’t require me to plug in a wire and help light up my backyard with a warm light. This product hits all the boxes. Worth the price!

Improved light string control
I was amazed at these outdoor light's unique (and simple) advanced tech. Until these lights, most (if not all) are controlled by an additional light detecting photocell to turn themselves off and on. This outdoor LED light string does not have a photocell for on/off control... rather, they use a far more simple (and reliable) light detector, which is the ENTIRE, battery charging solar cells. What's different than using an additional light detecting photocell (that often fail before the lights, solar panel or the batteries themselves fail), is that these string lights simply detect the loss of voltage when the solar panel itself is no longer producing power. Once the solar panel ceases power production (that is, when it becomes dark), the now charged batteries instantly take over and power the LED light string, at close to AC powered brightness. A unique, but simple and improved potential reliability for long term light control. This is easy to test for yourself. Once the switch is placed in the "ON" position, and while in full daylight... simply cover the majority of the solar cells, and the entire string instantly lights up (there is no individual photo cell). Surprisingly simple on/off control I've not seen before. Simple genius!

Pleased with product
Installed and very pleased. Rained very heavily right after install and did not see any water inside. Wanted to run them across the patio from house to fence but we found them a bit heavy (which is good - not flimsy) so changed the configuration. Still trying to decide whether or not we’ll bring them in for the winter in Ontario. Cannot report on longevity yet but other reviews are positive.

great little lights - convenient and nice warm light
We bought one 27' string to hang in the beams of our new pergola and really like them. They give a nice warm accent lighting, great for sitting on the deck for dinner or drinks or just hanging out. It's not much light, but we have other lights if we want to read a book or magazine or something. Very easy to install and nice not to have a power cord running up the side of the house from the outlet to the beams. We're considering getting a second set for outside the front door. You can turn the lights off via a switch behind the solar panel, but when the switch is off the panel also doesn't charge the batteries. After a couple days of switching on/off we decided just to leave the switch on all the time because (a) switching on/off is inconvenient because we mounted the panel high, (b) the lights aren't so bright as to be annoying when we're not using them, and (c) they're solar, so at least we're not racking up the electric bill. The only negative is that the LED Edison bulbs don't have the cool-looking filaments that the incandescent versions do, but the minor aesthetic difference isn't enough to get me to buy an inefficient and shorter-lived incandescent instead of an LED.
