KUHN RIKON22051 Original Swiss Peeler, White

As someone who has worked in a professional kitchen and cooks at home every day, I know the pain of using a bad peeler. Not a physical pain but the pain of it not working properly, catching and sticking, filling up with unwanted peel or even just feeling loose and flimsy. You will not have that problem with this peeler, the Kuhn Rikon Original Swiss Peeler is the ultimate utility/functional tool, it's been designed solely for it's purpose and it has no gimmicks, it simply does the job and does it incredibly well. Would highly recommend, buy some as gifts! your friends and family will be grateful.

Very sharp and precise and despite a few slips on potatoes and carrots, I havent managed to cut myself. I'm a bit of a Kuhn Rikon fanatic however (do not get me started on their garlic press).UPDATE:Blade became completely corroded and not simply rusty, but flakey, so if you want rust in your food this is the product for you. Even the worst peelers I ever had were at least made out of stainless steel...not sure what Kuhn Rikon was after here but I cant help but feel this is a knock off. Should be discontinued regardless.

Love my little peeler I have tried so many different types. I have arthritis in my hands and find it hard to hold them. But know matter what make I buy (only because I’ve managed to throw it out with the peelings) I always go back to the Kuhn Rukon it’s so easy to use and to hold. I recommend them all day long.

According to the Amazon website, this is dishwasher safe, but the manufacturers packaging says not. I hand washed and left to air dry and after a few uses it rusted. Received replacement and same think happened, so received refund. If you wash and dry straight away, you may be ok, but this is made from carbide steel, not stainless steel, hence not rust free.

I have been looking for a replacement peeler for ages after the excellent one I bought cheaply in Lakeland finally expired after over 10 years use. I can't get on with the "pen" shape ones, and many of the metal y shapes, whilst efficient peelers, were too wide for my palm and the edges cut into my hand. This peeler is truly excellent. It is very lightweight and comfortable to hold, and zaps through potatoes, carrots etc with ease. Picking a bright colour means it's very easy to spot in the washing up bowl or on the counter. (I am not an organised person!). You can't fault it at the price in my opinion.
